Kyle’s expression was extremely grim, his face flushed with anger. In that moment, he experienced the overwhelming sensation of an entire grassland weighing down on him!
Unable to contain his rage any longer, he struck Julie repeatedly in a frenzy, yelling, “You deceitful scoundrel! You’ve lied to me! You’ve betrayed me, I’ll make sure you regret it! I’ll make you pay dearly!”
As Julie was assaulted, she shrieked in pain, her hair disheveled and she broke down in tears.
Kyle continued to lash out, shouting, “Divorce! You’ll leave my house with nothing! If you don’t, I’ll have someone take care of your parents and your brother in a terrible way!”
Julie was utterly shattered! She had done everything in her power to marry into the Sullivan family, dreaming of a life of luxury, but now that dream lay in ruins!
All of this was because of Charlie!
Her hatred for Charlie surged, but at that moment, Charlie smirked disdainfully and turned to Claire, saying, “Let them have their fight, we should head in.”
With that, he took Claire’s hand and strode toward the elevator.
Claire’s beautiful eyes flickered with disbelief as she wondered how Charlie knew so much about Julie’s past.
Unable to suppress her curiosity, she looked at Charlie and asked, “Did you have someone investigate all of this?”
“Of course not! There’s no way I could do that.” Charlie chuckled and replied, “A classmate of mine was wronged by Julie. He’s been gathering information on her for a while and I didn’t expect it would come in handy today.”
As he spoke, Charlie led her into the elevator. Once inside, he pressed the button for the top floor. Claire suddenly asked, “Charlie, did you press the wrong button? Isn’t the top floor the sky garden?”
Charlie smiled softly, “We’re indeed heading to the sky garden on the top floor right now!”
Claire felt as if she had been struck by lightning! The sky garden? How could that be?
Everyone in Aurous Hill knew that a mysterious person had booked the sky garden for the evening.
Even if Charlie had considerable resources, it seemed impossible for him to have secured a reservation at the sky garden to celebrate their third wedding anniversary!
But just then, an audacious thought surged into Claire’s mind could it be that Charlie was the mysterious individual who had booked the entire sky garden?
Although it sounded like a fairy tale, was there really any other explanation?
With this in mind, Claire couldn’t help but ask, “Charlie, did you reserve the sky garden?”
Charlie smiled slightly, saying, “Yes, I have a grand surprise planned for you today! I want to give you a wedding celebration like no other!”
“Really?”
Claire felt as if her mind had momentarily short-circuited! If this truly was a spectacular surprise from Charlie, then wasn’t she about to become the happiest woman in Aurous Hill tonight? Her thoughts raced and her breath quickened as she struggled to process the realization.
While her emotions swirled inside her, the elevator doors opened to the top floor of the Shangri-La Hotel.
A member of the staff at the entrance bowed slightly and said with a smile, “Ms. Wilson, on behalf of Shangri-La Hotel, I extend our heartfelt congratulations to you and Mr. Wade on your wedding anniversary tonight.”
Charlie waved his hand, instructing, “You all can leave now!”
Immediately, the staff exited, leaving Claire and Charlie alone in the vast sky garden.
Claire felt as though she were in a dream.
Before her lay an expansive space adorned with luxurious decor. The stunning crystal ceiling lit up the entire sky garden, creating an atmosphere of elegance and tranquility.
Gentle piano melodies filled the air, soothing hearts and easing tension.
Fresh, high-end flowers flown in from abroad added a fragrant touch that was subtle yet transformative, enhancing the serene beauty of the moment.
Just then, the music shifted and the most classic wedding march, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” began to play, its melodic strains enveloping the scene.
While Claire admired the enchanting surroundings, Charlie, now dressed in a smart suit, approached her holding a bouquet of flowers.
With each step he took, vibrant red hearts rippled across the crystal glass floor.
It appeared as though the hearts danced along with the music, creating a captivating visual spectacle.
Outside the sky garden, countless onlookers gazed in longing through the crystal facade, enchanted by the unfolding events inside.
The only downside was that the glass had been fogged up to some degree. Although they could see the beautiful couple and the stunning arrangements within, they couldn’t quite make out their features.
Many women sighed with envy, exclaiming, “How romantic! I’ve never witnessed such a beautiful scene in my life!”
“If I were in her place, I’d gladly accept anything!”
“Oh my goodness! That man’s figure looks like the mysterious rich guy!”
“What a pity we can’t see his face! This is pure torture!”
The sight inside the sky garden captivated everyone who was watching, filling thousands of hearts with anticipation and envy.
All eyes brimmed with well wishes for the couple as they witnessed this extraordinary celebration seemingly suspended in the air.
Scores of women, overcome with emotion, felt an uncontrollable wave of envy wash over them, yearning to be the leading lady in such a magnificent wedding.
Even though no one could clearly see the couple’s faces this evening, the palpable happiness radiating from the heroine was unmistakable.
Charlie walked closer to her, gesturing towards the stunning night view of Aurous Hill visible through the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and said tenderly, “Claire, I love you! I couldn’t give you a proper wedding before, but I hope you’ll cherish this intimate ceremony for just the two of us!”
Claire snapped back to reality, covering her mouth as tears streamed down her face like a rain of pear blossoms, falling gracefully onto her delicate features.
Overcome with emotion, Claire could no longer restrain the turmoil within her heart. She took a step forward and embraced Charlie, sobbing, “I love it! I truly love it! Thank you, Charlie! Thank you!”
