The next morning, Claire arrived at Emgrand Group with Charlie, bringing along the cooperation plan she had prepared the night before.

From his vantage point, Charlie pulled out his phone and called Doris Young.

“Doris, my wife has come upstairs. I’m sure you know what to do next!”

Doris Young responded promptly, “Young Master, don’t worry. I will make sure the Young Mistress is well taken care of.”

Charlie then inquired, “By the way, I’ve heard that the collaboration between Emgrand Group and the Jones family is quite significant?”

Doris Young confirmed, “In the past, their partnership with Emgrand Group was indeed strong. They also wish to deepen that collaboration for our new project and are currently submitting materials for the cooperation application to me. Ultimately, it depends on your decision, Young Master.”

Charlie replied coolly, “For this new project, I do not want the Jones family involved at all, nor do I want any future cooperation with them.”

Doris Young assured him, “Don’t worry, I will handle it!”

Meanwhile, Claire had entered the Emgrand Group office and was waiting at the reception for her appointment. She was uncertain if Doris Young, the vice chairman, would even agree to meet her.

After a brief wait, a graceful female assistant approached her and said, “You must be Ms. Claire, right? Vice Chairman Young is expecting you in her office. Please follow me.”

Claire nodded, feeling puzzled. They were still in the appointment queue, so why was she called in so abruptly?

Faced with the esteemed businesswoman from Aurous Hill, Claire felt a surge of nerves and replied, “Hello, Ms. Young. I’m here to discuss the hotel project. Although our Wilson family is not particularly powerful, we have a strong work ethic and a good reputation in the decoration industry!”

As she spoke, she nervously handed Doris Young a document. “This contains the relevant qualifications and introductions for our Wilson Group. Please take a moment to review it.”

With a smile, Doris Young took the document and skimmed it before saying, “Ms. Wilson, I’ve reviewed your information and I believe there is potential for cooperation between the Wilson family and Emgrand.”

“What? Are you serious?” Claire exclaimed, unable to believe her ears. It seemed too easy, too straightforward.

Doris Young smiled reassuringly and confirmed, “Absolutely. While the Wilson family’s resources may not meet Emgrand Group’s usual standards, our Chairman has a high regard for you, Ms. Wilson and is eager to collaborate.”

“The Chairman?” Claire asked, her eyes widening. “May I ask who your Chairman is?”

Doris Young replied with a calm smile, “Our Chairman is Mr. Wade from the Eastcliff Wade Family.”

“Mr. Wade?” Claire frowned, thinking aloud, “I don’t believe I know anyone by that surname besides my husband.”

Doris Young nodded slightly. Charlie had instructed her not to disclose too much about his identity, so she could only share the minimal details.

Claire did not recognize anyone with the surname Wade, except for Charlie. She never considered that her husband, who was an orphan with little to his name, might be the Mr. Wade mentioned by Doris.

At this moment, Doris Young continued, “I noticed that you initially proposed a cooperation share of thirty million.”

Claire nodded eagerly, asking hesitantly, “Is that too much?”

Doris Young smiled and replied, “Not at all in fact, it’s a bit low.”

Puzzled, Claire pressed, “What do you mean by that?”

Doris Young explained, “Our Chairman has directed me to raise the cooperation share to sixty million.”

As she spoke, Doris Young retrieved a contract and handed it to Claire, saying, “Here is the contract we’ve prepared in advance for sixty million. If it looks good to you, we can sign it right now.”

“Ah? This…” Claire was utterly astonished. She never imagined that a company as prestigious as Emgrand Group would proactively prepare a contract for her!
