The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 83

The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 83

The next day, Graham arrived early in the morning at the foot of Charlie’s building.

He waited until Charlie stepped outside to buy vegetables before approaching him and presenting a black card.

He explained that there were several hundred million in the card, and that in order to save the Quinton family, it would be acceptable for Charlie to use all of it.

Aurora, the feisty little girl, was also present but this time she didn’t carry the same air of arrogance.

Seeing Charlie, respect washed over her features.

Since Adam’s troubles began, the Quinton family had faced a barrage of misfortunes, including a sudden decline in the old man’s health, which left him on the brink of death. She realized that only Master Wade could save her family!

After handing the card to Charlie, Graham knelt before him, his voice trembling with emotion as he pleaded, “Master Wade! Please save my Quinton family, no matter the cost. My life doesn’t matter, but my daughter is still so young…”

Aurora’s eyes filled with tears as she also knelt on the ground, crying out, “Master Wade, please help the Quinton family. If possible, I would be willing to trade my life for my father’s longevity!”

Graham scolded her angrily, “What nonsense are you saying!”

Charlie shook his head in exasperation, reaching out to help them up one by one. As he lifted Aurora, the softness of her small hands sent a rush of tenderness through him.

Once he had helped them both to their feet, Aurora’s cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

Charlie reassured them, saying, “Don’t worry, I will do my best to ensure that your Quinton family navigates through this crisis safely.”

The father and daughter were deeply moved and wished to kneel again, but Charlie stopped them, saying, “It’s not good to kneel like this. You both should go now; I will let you know if I hear anything.”

“Thank you, Master Wade!” Both expressed their gratitude as they left.

When Charlie returned home after grocery shopping, his father-in-law Jacob rushed over, anxiety written all over his face, “Charlie, I just saw you talking to Graham outside the community?”

“Yes, he had something to discuss with me,” Charlie replied.

Jacob couldn’t hide his concern, saying, “He didn’t look happy. It seemed like bad news. Did you discover something troubling regarding his family’s fortune during your last reading?”

Jacob had been worried about this, fearing that Charlie might have said something far-fetched.

Charlie smiled and said, “Dad, Graham came to ask me to help rid his home of evil spirits and also gave me a bank card, asking me to check if there’s anything useful for the auction tomorrow.”

Jacob was taken aback for a moment and quickly asked, “How much money did he give you?”

Charlie replied nonchalantly, “A few hundred million.”

“What?!”

Jacob’s eyes widened in disbelief, and he clutched his chest in shock, nearly fainting from the news.

He grabbed Charlie in a panic, “Charlie, you must be joking! If the Quinton family gave you that much money and something went wrong, wouldn’t they come after our whole family? You need to return the money immediately!”

“Dad, don’t worry; I know my limits. There won’t be any issues,” Charlie reassured him.

Continuing, Charlie added, “This is quite serious, so you shouldn’t tell Claire or Mom about it. Otherwise, it could spiral out of control.”

“I understand, I understand…” Jacob nodded, knowing too well how his wife could be.

This woman was reckless when it came to money and would prioritize spending over anything else. If she knew about the hundreds of millions in the card, she wouldn’t care about the Quinton family, she would want to spend it right away.

Jacob felt his heart race at the mere thought of that amount, and he tried to persuade Charlie for some time. Realizing his words weren’t having any effect, he finally sat down on the sofa with a sigh.

He didn’t believe that Charlie could actually help the Quinton family solve their problems. Now he was worried that Charlie would squander the Quinton family’s money and eventually face consequences from them.

At that point, all he could do was keep a close eye on Charlie during the auction to ensure he didn’t make any reckless purchases.

If Charlie ended up cheating the Quinton family out of that much money, wouldn’t it mean doom for their entire family?

The following morning, Charlie got ready to attend the auction.

Due to the ongoing turmoil with the Quinton family, Jacob had hardly slept the previous night and kept nagging him in the living room.

Charlie offered a few half-hearted reassurances and then asked, “Dad, I heard there’s a finale treasure at this auction at the Treasure Pavilion, is that true?”

“Yes,” Jacob replied, puzzled, “I’ve heard it’s a priceless item, one of a kind.”

Suddenly remembering something, he pulled Charlie aside and warned, “Son-in-law, don’t get your hopes up about that finale treasure. Its starting bid is in the tens of millions; let’s just take a look.”

Charlie recognized that his father-in-law was concerned he would use the Quinton family’s money, so he smiled and said, “Dad, you’re right; I’ll just look, I won’t bid randomly.”

“That’s good to hear.” Jacob, fearing he wouldn’t take no for an answer, added, “But even if you do want to bid, you shouldn’t get involved.”

“Why not?”

“I found out yesterday that Mr. Yaleman from Mystery Court will be attending this auction too, specifically for that finale treasure.”

Charlie expressed surprise, “Mystery Court is attending as well?”

Mystery Court is well-known throughout the country.

Its owner, Jack Yaleman, is a famous Feng Shui Master!

Many celebrities in Hong Kong go to great lengths to consult him and he’s even appeared on television giving lectures on metaphysics. His reputation is widely recognized.

The fees to have a consultation with this Feng Shui master are steep, starting at seven figures. If a celebrity wants to buy Mystery Court’s magic tools, the price skyrockets even higher.

Although Mystery Court charges a premium, it is reputed to provide authentic materials.

Jack Yaleman is known for his accurate fortune-telling abilities.

He once predicted that two famous stars, despite being happily married, would divorce in November of that year.

To everyone’s astonishment, when November arrived, both stars announced their divorces on social media shortly after the prediction, which solidified Mystery Court’s fame.

Since then, more people have sought out Master Yaleman, especially in the entertainment industry where he is highly regarded.

Mystery Court’s headquarters is located in Hong Kong, in the Central Plaza, a prime location, indicating their wealth.

It was surprising to learn that Boss Yu would also attend the auction, seemingly determined to acquire the treasure.

Curious, Charlie asked, “What exactly is this finale treasure?”

“I have no idea. We’ll just go to look and won’t be buying anything,” Jacob repeated.

Just then, Charlie’s phone rang.

He answered and heard Jasmine’s voice on the line.

“Mr. Wade, my car is parked outside your house. I’ll pick you up on the way.”

Jasmine was also concerned about any potential issues at the auction, so she decided to accompany Charlie.

Stepping outside, Charlie spotted a vivid red Bentley parked by the curb, its shiny new exterior gleaming in the sunlight.

Jasmine leaned against the vehicle, dressed in a striking red fitted dress that accentuated her beautiful figure. Her wavy hair cascaded over her shoulders stylishly and a pair of sunglasses rested on her face.

As she noticed Charlie and Jacob approaching, she removed her sunglasses and smiled, “Uncle Wilson, Mr. Wade, I’m heading to the auction at the Treasure Pavilion and am here to pick you up.”

“Oh, it’s Miss Moore,” Jacob recognized her and responded, flattered. “Miss Moore, you’re too kind.”

“Of course! Please, both of you, get in the car!” Jasmine nodded politely and opened the door for them.

Who would expect that Miss Jasmine Moore, the eldest daughter of the Moore family, would personally open the car door for her live-in son-in-law?

The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 98

The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 98

Harold looked down on Charlie without hesitation. He also held a grudge against Claire, who was the company’s director at that time.

When he saw the couple visiting Thompson First to look at homes, he seized the moment to mock them.

Upon hearing Harold criticize him and his wife, Charlie immediately scoffed, “Why not? If someone like you can come to Thompson First to view houses, what’s stopping us?”

Harold retorted with disdain, “I can come because my Family can afford it. Can you even buy a house here, you pathetic loser?”

Charlie laughed, “How do you know I can’t afford it?”

Harold scoffed, “You think you can? Do you have any idea how much these houses cost? The smallest one is 120 square meters, at over 80,000 per square meter, totaling around 10 million. Do you have 10 million?”

Charlie chuckled, “I wouldn’t bother buying the smallest house. If I were to buy, I’d go for the largest one.”

“Ha!” Harold scoffed coldly, “The largest one is 240 square meters. You? Really?”

Wendy joined in with a laugh, saying, “Right, Charlie, can you really afford a 240-square-meter house? Even our Family can’t manage such a large space; how could you?”

Charlie turned to her with a smile and asked, “Who said I wanted a 240-square-meter house?”

Wendy shot back with contempt, “Why? Didn’t you say you wanted the biggest one? Are you backing out now?”

Charlie laughed and said, “Wendy, you’re so clueless. Can’t you see that there’s a large Villa area displayed on this sand table? The villas here are the biggest homes available.”

“Ha!” Wendy dismissed him, “Villas? The smallest starts at tens of millions and the pricier ones go into the hundreds of millions. A loser like you wouldn’t be able to afford it in a lifetime!”

Charlie grinned and said, “What a coincidence, I happen to own one and it’s the largest!”

“Hahaha!” Harold’s Family laughed uproariously, pointing at Charlie with derision, “You bought the biggest Villa? Oh my God, are you trying to make us die of laughter?”

Nearby customers overheard Charlie and began to mock him, “He looks like a pathetic loser and he thinks he can buy a Villa?”

“If he can afford this Villa, then I can buy the entire Thompson First community!”

“You’re just talking nonsense!”

Claire felt a bit embarrassed and whispered to Charlie, “Charlie! What are you saying? Aren’t you worried about making a fool of yourself?”

Charlie smiled and replied, “What’s embarrassing about speaking the truth?”

Harold laughed triumphantly, “Did you hear that? Even your own wife doesn’t believe you. The public’s eyes see clearly. People like you shouldn’t even be allowed in this sales hall!”

Then he added maliciously, “Just wait, I’ll ask the sales lady to throw you out!”

With that, Harold called over a sales lady, pointed at Charlie, and said, “Excuse me, why did you let this worthless loser in? He shamelessly claims he wants to buy the most expensive Villa. People like him make it awkward for those of us who can actually buy a house!”

The sales lady glanced at Charlie and noted his plain appearance, he looked nothing like a wealthy person.

He didn’t even compare to the customers looking to buy the smallest three-bedroom apartments, who were all dressed better than he was.

Others around began to complain, “Get this guy out of here. He’s ruining our experience.”

The sales lady approached Charlie and said, “Sir, if you’re not interested in purchasing a house, please leave and don’t disturb the other customers.”

Claire sighed, tugging at Charlie’s sleeve, “Let’s go, let’s move on.”

Others chimed in, “Get lost, poor guy. Don’t embarrass yourself any further.”

Charlie remained still, smiling as he said, “Do you know why you can’t afford to live in a Villa? Because you’re all short-sighted. With your limited vision, you’ll never be able to buy a Villa in this lifetime.”

Harold spat, “Ha! Charlie, you have the nerve to say that? Every one of them is richer than you!”

Charlie raised an eyebrow and asked playfully, “Harold, you keep insisting I can’t afford a Villa, but what if I actually can?”

Harold laughed, then pointed to the tallest building on the sand table and declared arrogantly, “If you can buy a Villa here, I Harold will jump off the roof of that building!”

Many people around shouted, “You pathetic loser, if you can buy it, I’ll jump too!”

“Right! Count me in too! I can’t stand this kind of pretentious fool!”

Claire felt more embarrassed than ever and criticized Charlie softly, saying, “Charlie! Why do you have to argue with them? Do you need to make a fool of yourself to feel good?”

Charlie smiled calmly and said, “Wife, how do you know that your husband will be humiliated?”

As he spoke, Charlie pulled out the key and information card for the Villa from his pocket and said nonchalantly, “Look, this is the key and information card for Villa A05.”

Wendy laughed and said, “Charlie, do you think waving around a key will convince us? You think we’re that gullible?”

Charlie tossed the key and information card to the sales lady and said coolly, “Here, check if this is legitimate.”

The sales lady quickly recognized the key and card Charlie had produced. At first glance, she realized they were exclusively for the Thompson First Villa District. She was taken aback.

Could it be that this man is actually the owner of a Villa? I was just about to kick him out… if he truly is the owner and gets angry, I could lose my job!

Realizing this, she hastily took Charlie’s card and scanned it in the internal reader. The reader chimed, “Hello, Mr. Wade, owner of Building A05. Welcome home!”

The sales lady gasped, “Are you Mr. Wade?”

“Yes.” Charlie nodded, noting that the Villa gifted to him by the White Family was now officially under his name.

The sales lady quickly returned the card to Charlie with both hands, respect etched on her face, and said in a flustered tone, “Mr. Wade, I’m so sorry, I didn’t realize you were the esteemed owner of Building A05. Please forgive the previous misunderstanding.”

Everyone present was left speechless by the unfolding scene.

Charlie is actually the owner here? Is this real? Can someone like him really afford a Villa in Thompson First?

Harold’s face turned an ugly shade. What the heck! Charlie bought a Villa in Thompson First? I would sooner believe in ghosts than accept that Charlie could pull this off!

But what about this sales lady? She wouldn’t lie, would she?

And she just confirmed Charlie’s ownership by scanning his card…

What’s happening?

The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 95

The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 95

The crowd had just engaged in a fierce battle, yet now they were all eager for Charlie to lead not just Aurous Hill, but the entire Newton sector of the metaphysical world. No one expressed any dissent, they were all captivated by Charlie’s presence.

They had never witnessed a figure like Charlie, who could summon thunder with a mere utterance!

This was an extraordinary supernatural ability in the realm of metaphysics, beyond imagination!

As they looked at Jack Yaleman, charred and defeated on the ground, it was evident that Charlie’s power was already beyond comprehension. Allowing such a formidable individual to take command would not only instill confidence in everyone but also ignite a desire for his guidance.

Charlie furrowed his brows slightly and addressed the crowd, “I am not a practitioner of metaphysics, nor do I study Feng Shui or Taoism. I have no interest in metaphysics. From now on, let Finn take charge of your matters.”

Once he finished, the assembled crowd gasped in disbelief.

Moments earlier, the thunder had been shocking, and now Master Wade claimed he was disinterested in Feng Shui metaphysics? Was he merely jesting, summoning lightning for amusement?

I am in awe!

The crowd fell silent, exchanging glances.

Finn hesitated, looking at Charlie and then spoke with respect, “It is a privilege to assist Master Wade! I will take charge of the smaller issues and for any major concerns, we will seek your guidance.”

The tense atmosphere lightened considerably. Travis Lane, the wealthiest man in Lancaster, stepped forward and said respectfully, “On behalf of my family, I thank Master Wade for his assistance and would like to offer a check for 80 million as a token of my admiration!”

Matthew Gibson also approached and bowed his head humbly, saying, “Thank you, Master Wade, for eliminating this threat! From now on, I am ready to heed any commands from you, and any under my care will also be respectful towards you!”

“I am willing to follow your orders!”

Seeing these two step forward to express their admiration, the others quickly joined in to flatter Charlie. Some invited him to dinner, others pledged their loyalty, while a few offered gifts and money, forming a tight circle around him.

Finn added, “Today’s banquet is sponsored by the White family with 150 million, originally intended as rewards for each winner. Now that Master Wade is first, it is only fitting that the prize be awarded to him.”

Zeke remained kneeling, anxiously keeping his head down. He quickly said in a servile manner, “Mr. Wade, I was foolish and nearly caused harm to the heroes of Newton. Please forgive me!”

Charlie frowned and replied coolly, “Zeke, didn’t you have faith in Jack Yaleman before?”

Zeke quickly bowed his head and protested, “Mr. Wade, I was utterly deceived by Jack Yaleman! Now I see that he is merely a insignificant bug compared to you. I will open my eyes and respect you for the rest of my life!”

After a moment, Zeke declared, “Mr. Wade, to express my sincere regret, I would like to offer you a Villa. Once I arrange for it to be cleaned, I will present you with the key. Please overlook my previous offenses!”

A Villa? Charlie furrowed his brow slightly.

With his wealth, a Villa was trivial.

However, purchasing one himself would be inappropriate, he couldn’t explain the source of funds to his wife.

But if someone offered him a villa, there was no reason for him to refuse.

After all, his family still lived in their old home and they genuinely needed to upgrade their living situation.

Even though Zeke was rather distasteful, his remorse was evident and he wasn’t beyond redemption.

So Charlie nodded and replied, “That is very generous of you. Let’s settle on this. But know that if you make such egregious mistakes again, I won’t be so accommodating!”

Zeke beamed and immediately kowtowed in thanks, saying, “Thank you, Mr. Wade, for your mercy! I will deeply reflect on this and never repeat my errors!”

“Yes.” Charlie nodded in approval.

Then he turned his gaze towards Graham, who appeared visibly frightened.

He addressed him calmly, “Graham, does your family believe that I, Charlie, cheated you out of your money?”

Graham’s legs buckled, and he fell to the ground, his voice trembling, “I would never! I was just confused momentarily and had doubts about Mr. Wade. Now I am entirely convinced that you are the true master of metaphysics. Please punish me, Mr. Wade!”

As he spoke, he seized a frightened Adam and shouted, “You fool! Get down on your knees!”

Adam was already trembling in fear and immediately knelt, stuttering, “Mr. Wade, I was wrong, Mr. Wade! Please forgive me, I truly didn’t mean to question you!”

Graham struck him hard across the face, followed by another slap. He delivered a flurry of blows, leaving Adam’s cheeks swollen and bruised.

Adam remained still, crying quietly. At this moment, the pain from the beating was nothing compared to his fear of Charlie unleashing a thunderbolt upon him, as he had done to Jack Yaleman…

Aurora, standing nearby, looked pale with fright.

She had never imagined that Charlie was such an immensely powerful figure.

Initially, she had felt a flicker of anger toward him and thought of exacting some revenge for his earlier kick. But now, faced with his formidable power, all she could do was revere him.

Fearful for her brother Adam, she quickly knelt and implored, “Master Wade, my brother is still young and naive. Please spare him this time.”

Observing the three members of the Quinton family kneeling before him, Charlie spoke coolly, “Given your sincere acknowledgment of your mistakes, I will not pursue this matter further for now. However, should anything like this occur again, do not blame me for being harsh!”

Upon hearing this, the three members of the Quinton family felt as if they had been forgiven and hurriedly bowed to express their gratitude.

Jasmine stood outside the crowd, feeling a mix of excitement and confusion.

Prior to today, she had believed Charlie to be merely someone with a slight skill in antiques, someone from an unremarkable background—not a powerful figure.

But she hadn’t expected him to be hiding such formidable abilities!

The spectacle she witnessed today rendered Jasmine utterly speechless, as she had never encountered anything like it.

At that moment, Charlie took a step up, gazed down at the assembly, and declared firmly, “Listen to me!”

The moment he spoke, everyone looked up at him with unwavering respect, not daring to make a sound.

Charlie surveyed the crowd and warned sternly, “No one is to discuss today’s events outside of this place; otherwise, you will face a fate similar to that of Jack Yaleman!”

The group’s expressions turned serious, sensing that Mr. Wade wished to keep his identity and strength concealed!

He truly was a remarkably low-profile man!

Unlike Jack Yaleman, who sought fame and recognition through his tricks and stunts, he was entirely surpassed by Mr. Wade! He truly deserved his fate!

Everyone bowed in unison, affirming, “We will follow Mr. Wade’s instructions!”

Charlie nodded in satisfaction, saying, “In that case, we can disperse for today!”

The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 24

The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 24

Just when Elaine was feeling particularly excited, Kevin shouted, “Don’t worry, everyone, I’ll go talk to them right now. Just wait here for some good news from me.”

Feeling reassured by Kevin’s support, Elaine blurted out, “Kevin, I’m coming with you!”

Charlie quickly interjected, “Mom, it’s best if you don’t get involved. If Kevin can’t fix this, you might end up in trouble too!”

“Ridiculous!” Elaine retorted angrily, “How can someone like you, who is useless, question Kevin’s abilities?”

The other relatives were all relying on Kevin to help them recover their hard-earned money, so when Charlie spoke against him, it naturally bred dissatisfaction among them.

Facing the overwhelming disapproval, Charlie responded calmly, “Mom, you can stay here, but it’s better if you don’t interfere.”

Elaine ignored his suggestion completely and shouted back, “Shut your mouth! What gives you the right to speak here?!”

Kevin’s face was filled with arrogance as he laughed derisively, “You may not have much skill, but you sure are envious. Do you really think I’m some loser like you who can only shout empty slogans?”

Seeing that his mother-in-law was ignoring his advice, Charlie decided to remain silent and stated calmly, “Alright then, I’ll just wait for the good news from Mr. White.”

Charlie had a strong dislike for Elaine. She was too pretentious and often blinded by superficiality. To put it bluntly, she was just an old woman whose long hair did nothing to mask her narrow-mindedness.

While today’s situation appeared to be just a simple case of fraud, a little investigation revealed that the scheme ran much deeper. His mother-in-law was foolishly wading into a murky situation, and perhaps it was a necessary lesson for her.

Unaware of Charlie’s good intentions, Elaine gave him a fierce glare, then turned to Kevin with an apologetic tone, “Kevin, please don’t mind this loser. Auntie absolutely believes in you…”

Kevin smiled confidently, “It’s alright, Auntie. I won’t stoop to the level of a loser.”

With renewed energy, he declared, “Auntie, let’s head over!”

“Alright!”

Kevin took Elaine by the hand and, together, they walked through the crowd toward the entrance of Axel Insurance Company.

Upon arriving, he shouted loudly at the employees blocking the entrance, “Go tell your superiors to refund these uncles and aunts immediately! If you don’t, I will summon my legal team and the authorities to have you and your boss arrested!”

Elaine chimed in, “Did you hear that? We have support now! If your fraudulent company doesn’t refund the money, be careful, because Mr. White will send you all to jail!”

The young employee at the front appeared nervous and quickly replied, “I’m sorry, I’m just a security guard here and not in charge of any of this!”

Kevin replied coolly, “Then you should call your boss and let him know that I’m Kevin from the White family in Aurous Hill! He needs to come handle this personally, or he will face the consequences!”

As he spoke, Kevin’s expression was filled with arrogance.

Although the White family was not the most powerful in Aurous Hill, they were certainly a well-regarded family.

When the boss of a lowly fraudulent company hears his name, he would certainly not dare to ignore it.

Sensing the wave of intimidation, the young employee quickly called his boss.

Meanwhile, in the office of Axel Insurance Company, the owner Axel was fawning over a middle-aged man dressed in a smart suit.

With a smile, he retrieved a bank card from his desk and handed it over respectfully, saying, “Don Albert, this card has 30 million in it, and the password is your birthday. It’s the dividend I’m giving to you this time; please take a look.”

The middle-aged man, though somewhat rough around the edges, radiated power and authority through his piercing gaze.

Anyone present would immediately recognize him; he was Don Albert!

In Aurous Hill, Don Albert was known as the underground king—someone no one dared to cross.

Don Albert looked at Axel, a smile of approval on his face. “Axel, you’ve proven yourself to be quite clever. Well done!”

Axel hastily responded, “Don Albert, what should we do about the old men and women causing a scene downstairs?”

“Just ignore them; a bunch of old fools,” Don Albert replied casually. “If they don’t leave willingly, I’ll have my men teach them a lesson!”

Axel felt relieved and quickly expressed his gratitude, “Thank you, Don Albert!”

Don Albert smiled pleasantly, “In the future, just focus on business. As long as you’re making money, I’ll back you up.”

Axel was overjoyed and humbly replied, “Thank you, Don Albert! With your support, I will continue to work hard and make a fortune together!”

Although Axel lacked an impressive background in Aurous Hill, his intelligence and unscrupulousness were his advantages.

He engaged in financial schemes and fraud, knowing he could not handle such large sums alone, so he sought Don Albert’s assistance in exchange for a share of his illegal profits.

With Don Albert’s protection, Axel felt empowered, resulting in his fraudulent activities flourishing.

Just as Axel was savoring his connection with Wuye, his subordinate called in panic, “Boss, we have a situation! A guy claiming to be Kevin, the Young Master of the White family, is demanding that we return the money immediately or face jail time!”

“What? Is this true?”

Frowning, Axel hastily relayed to Don Albert, “Don Albert, there’s someone downstairs claiming to be from the White family, causing trouble for those old folks! He says he has powerful connections in Aurous Hill, and he’s threatening us to cough up all the money we’ve stolen or we’ll end up in jail…”

Axel exaggerated the situation, hoping that it would infuriate Don Albert.

As he spoke, he bent low and pleaded, “Don Albert, the White family has some influence here. If they decide to confront me, I really can’t afford to cross them. Please help me out!”

“The White family of Aurous Hill?”

Don Albert sneered dismissively, “In my view, that small family isn’t even worth mentioning! Even their manager has to bow and scrape before me! Now their descendants think they can challenge me? They’re asking for trouble!”

With that, Don Albert tucked away the bank card Axel had given him and coldly stated, “Let’s go see who this fool is who thinks he can force me, Don Albert, to return what I’ve rightly earned!”

The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 31

The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 31

Gerald was terrified, his heart pounding as he said nervously, “Bill The Bear, I’m from the White family…”

“The White family?” Bill The Bear scoffed, “What’s so special about the White family?”

With a dismissive spit, Bill The Bear kicked Gerald White to the ground, his voice icy, “Don Albert just taught a fool from the White family a lesson yesterday, slapping him ten thousand times. How dare you even mention the White family to me?”

“Ah?” Gerald White’s shock was palpable.

He had thought that his brother had been robbed by gangsters, but he never expected that it was Don Albert who had beaten him!

As the fear coursed through him, Bill The Bear raised a stick and went for Gerald’s head, swinging it down hard!

With a loud thud!

Gerald felt a wave of dizziness wash over him, his head ringing, blood spilling from his mouth and nose, and his vision blurring in an instant.

Wendy cried out, her voice full of terror!

Gerald was her fiancé, her only chance to marry into the White family. If anything happened to him, her life would be shattered.

“Call for an ambulance! Call for help!”

Wendy shouted in panic, her hands trembling as she fumbled for her cell phone, but terror overwhelmed her, leaving her unable to dial and only able to scream.

Bill The Bear scowled and cursed, “Shut up! Someone, slap this girl to make her stop talking!”

“Right away, Bill The Bear!”

The younger gang members grinned maliciously. They relished crushing beautiful things, and Wendy, with her fierce spirit, was a prime target.

Panic surged through Wendy; she wanted to flee but found herself backed against a wall with no escape.

“Come here, you!”

A burly one-eyed man yanked Wendy’s hair with force, pulling her up.

He then began to rain down blows on her face.

These thugs were seasoned fighters who had been with Bill The Bear for years, and they could easily beat her to a pulp.

After just two or three hits, Wendy’s face was left swollen and bloodied, resembling a grotesque pig’s head, with blood mingling with spit falling to the ground.

Even if she received immediate medical treatment, the lingering scars from such a brutal beating would mark her for life, nearly resulting in disfigurement!

Loreen, watching from the side, was horrified by Bill The Bear’s brutality. She trembled and leaned closely against Charlie, their bodies nearly pressed together.

At that moment, Bill The Bear spotted Charlie and Loreen huddled in the corner and snarled, “And what about those two? Beat them up! They dare to take the diamond box I prepared for my guests; they deserve to die!”

One of his thugs showed no mercy as he reached for Loreen.

“Let’s see who dares to touch her!”

Charlie’s eyes turned icy as he kicked the thug hard, sending him crashing to the ground.

Bill The Bear’s expression darkened, and he spat, “Who the hell are you?”

Charlie replied coolly, “I’m someone you cannot afford to offend!”

“Kid, you’re asking for trouble!”

Charlie merely shook his head as he dialed Don Albert’s number directly.

“Don Albert, I’m in the diamond box right now, come down and see me immediately!”

With that, he ended the call and directed a cold stare at Bill The Bear.

Loreen’s face went pale. Harold had just boasted about knowing Don Albert, yet he had suffered greatly. Now Charlie was so brazenly disrespectful in front of Bill The Bear—he was putting his life on the line.

Meanwhile, Wendy, now a battered mess, felt a surge of fear upon hearing Charlie’s words. Why was this guy still acting so bravely? Was he trying to get them all killed?

Bill The Bear sneered, clearly unimpressed, “You dare to offend Don Albert in front of me? You must really want to die!”

As soon as he finished speaking, Bill The Bear gestured to his gang, commanding fiercely, “Kill him!”

Suddenly, a furious voice roared from outside the room, “What the hell, Bill! Do you want to die? How dare you lay a finger on Mr. Wade! I’ll chop you up and feed you to the dogs, believe it or not!”

Bill The Bear froze, as if struck by lightning!

Don Albert is here!

Mr. Wade? Who is Mr. Wade?

Moments later, Don Albert Hong barged in, dragging Bill The Bear down, “You’re so blind that you can’t even recognize Mr. Wade! I’ll put you six feet under!”

Don Albert hurled insults while kicking Bill The Bear mercilessly.

The once arrogant Bill The Bear now resembled a frightened dog.

Loreen stood in shock. What was happening?

The gang members were in a panic too. This young man was actually Mr. Wade? They had just tried to attack him—what were they thinking?

Don Albert continued to scold the group, “And you lot, what are you waiting for? Kneel and apologize to Mr. Wade this instant!”

“Mr. Wade, I was blind and almost harmed you. Please spare our lives!”

The thugs dropped to their knees, banging their heads against the floor in frantic apologies.

Bill The Bear was terrified beyond measure, kneeling and slapping his face in a desperate plea, “I’m sorry, Mr. Wade! Please forgive me this time!”

Don Albert followed suit, slapping his own face, “Mr. Wade, it’s entirely my fault for my men bumping into you and your friends.”

Charlie glanced at Loreen and stated calmly, “I merely brought my wife’s best friend out for dinner.”

He then turned back to the others with cold indifference, “They aren’t my friends.”

Loreen was utterly stunned!

It turned out Charlie hadn’t been bragging at all; he actually had reserved the top diamond box at Heaven Springs.

More importantly, this box was set aside for him by Don Albert himself!

Reflecting on how she had belittled Charlie earlier, an intense blush of shame flooded Loreen.

At that moment, Harold was quaking in fear at the realization! What was happening? This so-called loser Charlie was actually friends with Don Albert?

Wendy was equally taken aback. Charlie actually knew Don Albert!

What was most startling was how polite Don Albert was being to him!

Then she glanced over at her fiancé, Gerald White, who lay unconscious, blood pouring down his head!

Don Albert wiped the sweat from his brow and assured, “Mr. Wade, don’t worry. There won’t be a next time. You can come to Heaven Springs to dine in the diamond box anytime in the future. If any of my men fail to recognize you again, I’ll have their eyes removed!”

Charlie nodded and said to Loreen, “Loreen, we’ve eaten. It’s getting chaotic here; let’s leave!”

Loreen, still in disbelief, asked instinctively, “What about the others?”

As she glanced at the unfortunate sight of Harold, Gerald, and Wendy, concern washed over her.

Charlie replied nonchalantly, “Let Don Albert take care of it.”

Don Albert quickly reassured them, “Don’t worry, Mr. Wade, I’ll arrange an ambulance to take him to the hospital for treatment!”

“Alright.” Charlie nodded. “Then we’ll take our leave.”

Loreen remained dazed, following Charlie out of Heaven Springs in a trance.

Once outside, she struggled to collect her thoughts, feeling as if Charlie had become enveloped in a thick mist, mysterious and profound.

“Charlie, what happened today…”

Before Loreen could finish, Charlie interrupted her, saying calmly, “Loreen, please keep today’s events a secret for me. If Claire finds out that I associate with underground figures like Don Albert, she’ll be furious.”

Loreen nodded reluctantly, “Okay, I understand.”

After Charlie and Loreen left, Don Albert summoned an ambulance to take the injured parties to the hospital.

Wendy’s face had been so badly beaten that her jaw was deformed, resulting in what was essentially disfigurement.

One of Harold’s hands was nearly incapacitated, and he would require a considerable recovery time.

As for Gerald, he had suffered a severe concussion. Although he was no longer in danger of dying, the lasting effects would ensure he suffered for the rest of his life!
