One hundred million was spent for a giant clam.
While everyone else deemed Charlie insane, he remained unfazed by their opinions.
On the way home, Charlie explained the auction to Jacob, clarifying that the one hundred million was authorized by the Quinton family, ensuring his father-in-law wouldn’t feel overwhelming fear and panic this time.
Upon arriving home, Charlie immediately started examining the giant clam, with Claire still at work.
The clam was as large as a wheel, its golden and smooth shell polished to perfection.
With a firm push, Charlie broke it into several pieces.
He picked up one piece to inspect it closely.
Sure enough, three white beads were revealed within the thick shell.
These were the essence of the giant clam, known as the Holy Pearl of the Ocean.
Giant clams are considered one of Buddhism’s seven treasures, and the pearls they produce are especially rare and valuable.
Only shellfish that have lived over a hundred years and possess a spiritual essence can create these pearls, which form by absorbing the ocean’s essence.
The Holy Pearl of the Ocean is excellent for refining tools and is hard to come by, which is why Charlie decided to spend a fortune to acquire it.
Charlie discovered a total of three Sea Spirit Pearls from the giant clam, which was quite satisfying.
He then took out the blood dragon lightning wood and used techniques from the “Apocalyptic Book” to create hand gestures infused with Reiki.
As soon as the hand gestures made contact, they unleashed the strongest thunder energy contained within.
When the Holy Pearl of the Ocean encountered this thunder energy, it emitted a faint golden glow, swiftly absorbing the released aura.
Charlie then picked up the Holy Pearl of the Ocean to begin the refinement process for a magical weapon.
Before long, the Holy Pearl of the Ocean started to take shape in his hands.
Next, he retrieved the pearl necklace he had purchased at the auction earlier, selected some pearls from it, and combined them with the Holy Pearl of the Ocean to ultimately create a bracelet.
The remaining giant clam shells were also of top quality for refining.
He chose one of the shells and refined it into a “Stun Talisman,” intending to gift it to Graham.
The stun Talisman, crafted from giant clam shell, was fused with thunder energy specifically meant to dispel evil spirits and exorcise negativity, which would be effective for the Quinton family in dealing with that malevolent force.
After completing these tasks, Charlie noticed several giant clam fragments remained. Seeing that it was still early, he took the fragments to attempt refining a “Thunder Order.”
As recorded in the “Apocalyptic Book,” this Thunder Order is a low-level magical tool designed mainly for summoning thunder and rain.
However, by adding the thunder energy from the blood dragon thunder wood, he enhanced its effectiveness. It can now be used to dispel ghosts, suppress evil forces and even for offensive tactics.
Just as he finished refining the Thunder Order, he heard noises coming from downstairs.
His wife was back.
Charlie quickly tucked the remaining clam fragments beneath the bed and stepped out of the bedroom, holding the newly refined Sea Spirit Pearls.
When he looked up, he saw Claire in the living room, talking to his mother-in-law, Elaine, with a look of exasperation on her face.
Charlie approached and saw Elaine waving her wrist. On it was the jade bracelet Graham had initially gifted him.
Elaine exclaimed, “Claire, this bracelet is simply delightful! When I wear it out, everyone compliments me on it. I feel so proud!”
Claire replied with a hint of frustration, “Mom, didn’t Charlie leave this bracelet at home a few days ago? Why did you wear it without mentioning anything? I thought it was lost!”
Elaine shot back, “I’m your mother! What’s wrong with me wearing it? Let me enjoy it for a few more days and show it off!”
Watching the playful squabble between mother and daughter, Charlie quickly interjected, “Claire, if Mom likes it, let her keep wearing it. I made a new bracelet to give to you.”
“What bracelet?” Elaine exclaimed, as if she had discovered a hidden treasure.
But when she saw it was merely a string of shell beads, she instantly handed it to Claire with a huff, saying, “Another worthless trinket, is it?”
Claire accepted it, slipped it onto her wrist and asked, “Did you make this yourself?”
“Yes,” Charlie confirmed, “This shell pearl bracelet promotes calmness and aids sleep, while also warding off evil spirits and providing protection. I didn’t have much time today, so it’s a bit rough around the edges. I’ll craft you something finer if I get the chance.”
Before he could finish, Claire smiled warmly, saying, “Thank you, I really like it.”
“As long as you love it,” Charlie replied, feeling relieved.
The jade necklace he had previously given Claire was quite valuable, yet she seldom wore it. She typically favored simplicity and paid little mind to gold or silver jewelry, avoiding anything too flashy.
But Claire appeared genuinely fond of this giant clam bracelet.
Elaine, noticing Claire’s enthusiasm for the simple bracelet, muttered discontentedly, “It’s neither gold nor jade, just a string of worthless shells. What good is it?”
Charlie smiled and chose not to engage. It was probably best that Claire remained unaware of its true worth, if she knew this magical bracelet could be sold for at least ten billion, she’d likely reconsider wearing it.
After gifting the bracelet to Claire, Charlie went downstairs, found a local courier and sent both the stun Talisman and the black card to Graham.
This way, he felt satisfied with his actions.

At the Quinton Family residence,
Mr. Yaleman was seated in the main hall, his face dark and silent. He had come to Aurous Hill specifically for the giant clam, which housed the Holy Pearl of the Ocean, priceless for crafting a magical instrument.
Yet, he hadn’t anticipated Charlie appearing randomly, ruining his plans and igniting his fury!
Standing nearby, Adam held himself rigidly, his hands at his sides.
The distinguished Mystery Court was well-known and the Quinton family treated Mr. Yaleman with utmost respect.
Graham smiled nervously, saying, “I didn’t expect Mr. Yaleman to visit my humble abode. The Quinton family is indeed fortunate. What brings you here, Master?”
Mr. Yaleman slowly sipped his tea, set the cup down, and replied, “I ran into Adam at the auction, he invited me to assess your family’s fortunes.”
Graham initially intended to reprimand Adam for his impatience, but upon seeing that Steven had invited the esteemed Mr. Yaleman, he tempered his irritation.
“Mr. Yaleman, please, guide us!”
Mr. Yaleman nodded, saying, “If my intuition is correct, the Quinton family has faced misfortune over the past two years. It seems someone in your family is harboring an ominous presence. Last year brought a bloody disaster and as for this year…”
He glanced around dramatically before sighing, “I believe your family’s fortune has reached its end. If this trend continues, negative energy will envelop this house, leading to the Quinton family’s collapse and eventual extinction!”
As soon as he finished speaking, Graham’s face grew pale and he hastily replied, “Mr. Yaleman, you truly are a Master of the Mystery Court. The Quinton family has indeed faced bad luck. Please, assist us!”
The rest of the Quinton family looked on in shock!
Mr. Yaleman was remarkably insightful, his observations were spot-on.
While waiting anxiously for Charlie’s response, Graham was eager to find relief.
The arrival of the renowned Mr. Yaleman felt like a lifeline, prompting him to ask, “Mr. Yaleman, do you have any solutions?”
“Indeed, there is a solution,” Mr. Yaleman replied slowly before suddenly furrowing his brow, “However, I’ve sensed a fraud sowing rumors and misleading people within your household, disrupting the feng shui and hastening the Quinton family’s demise. When Wendell Jones fled, Harold had just arrived, accompanied by his sister Wendy and her fiancé Gerald.
Next to Gerald stood a young man dressed in luxurious clothing, who bore a slight resemblance to Gerald White.
Upon noticing Wendell Jones, Harold exclaimed, “Hey, Wendell! When I walked in just now, I heard something serious happened with your family. Is that true?”
Wendell Jones, overwhelmed with despair, pushed Harold away and murmured, “It’s over, it’s over, it’s all over…”
Concerned, Harold asked, “Young Master Jones, what’s wrong?”
Wendell Jones shook his head in fear, unwilling to share anything. He knew that if he said something inappropriate, it could lead to dire consequences.
In a state of despair, Wendell freed himself from Harold’s grasp and ran out.
Harold watched him leave and sighed, “I guess the Jones family is really done for. Wow, that was fast! Everything seemed fine yesterday, and now they’re bankrupt today!”
Afterward, Harold spotted Charlie and Claire and had an idea. He hurriedly greeted Claire, saying, “Claire, let me introduce you to this esteemed guest. This is Gerald’s cousin, Kevin, the eldest son of the White family.”
“Kevin, meet my cousin, Claire,” Harold added with a flattering smile.

Surprised, Kevin scrutinized Charlie and his contempt was apparent. He withdrew his hand and remarked indifferently, “I didn’t realize Claire was married. She’s a flower in a pile of manure…”
Wendy rushed to explain, “Kevin, this guy is just a loser who married into our Wilson family. He has no job and no real skills!”
Then she playfully winked at Kevin, saying, “Kevin, once I marry Gerald, we’ll all be family, so everyone should get to know each other better…”
Understanding her implications, Kevin smiled and responded, “Miss Claire is as beautiful as a fairy. I’d love to interact with her more.”
Just then, Charlie spotted his mother-in-law Elaine and father-in-law Jacob approaching.
As Elaine neared, she hurriedly told Claire, “Claire, did you hear? The Jones family has gone bankrupt!”
“Really?” Claire replied, surprised. “When did that happen?”
“Just now!” Elaine lamented. “I thought that once you divorced Charlie, you’d be able to be with Wendell Jones, but now, it seems there’s no chance…”
Charlie felt a wave of frustration. Was his mother-in-law really that clueless? Did she not recognize the true wealthy son-in-law standing right in front of her?
Upon seeing Elaine, Kevin took the opportunity to introduce himself, saying, “You must be Claire’s mother, right? Hello, auntie! I’m Kevin, Gerald’s cousin. You’re so beautiful; it’s no wonder you have such a lovely daughter like Claire.”

Excitedly surveying the room, she stepped up to the microphone and said with a smile, “First of all, on behalf of the Wilson family, I welcome all of our friends and partners to our banquet.”
“Now, let us welcome Ms. Doris Young, the vice chairman of the Emgrand Group.”
The spotlight instantly shifted to the front row.
Doris Young, adorned in a black evening gown that accentuated her perfect figure, shone like a fairy under the lights. All the men at the event were irresistibly drawn to her.
Vice Chairman of Emgrand Group! A rare beauty! Each of these titles was enough to capture everyone’s attention.
As Doris stood, she merely nodded at the crowd, her gaze lingering on Charlie for a brief moment before moving on.
Lady Wilson continued, “Today, I want to extend our gratitude to Emgrand Group for trusting the Wilson family with such an important project. We will certainly do our utmost to live up to their expectations.”
“Additionally, I would like to introduce an outstanding member of our younger generation. Without him, our cooperation with Emgrand would not have been possible. Since Kevin White had seen Claire at the banquet, he was immediately captivated and couldn’t forget her.
He worried that he might never get a chance to approach Claire, so when her mother called him, he seized the opportunity.
He assumed that Elaine was facing some trouble, and naturally, he wouldn’t miss the chance to be of assistance.
Politely, he responded, “Auntie Elaine, is there something troubling you?”
“Yes, there’s something I need your help with,” Elaine quickly replied. “Actually Kevin, me along with some old friends, invested all our savings in financial products from a company called Axel. But now they’ve stopped us from withdrawing our funds. Can you help me recover our money?”
Upon hearing this, Kevin felt a surge of excitement; it was his opportunity to demonstrate his capabilities. “Auntie, don’t worry! I’ll come over right away and definitely help you resolve this issue!”
Elaine was thrilled and quickly expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you so much!”
After hanging up, she turned to Charlie and expressed her frustration, saying, “Some people are useless and can’t be depended on. Besides shouting slogans, what else can they offer?”

The White family was quite ordinary. Since their collaboration with the Emgrand Group ended, their influence had diminished even further. Given the White family’s background, they were practically powerless against such substantial financial fraud.
In reality, this minor issue could be easily resolved by simply contacting Isaac Cameron from Shangri-La.
After all, he was the Wade family’s representative in Aurous Hill. Any entrepreneur or influential figure in the area would have to treat him with respect.
However, his mother-in-law was incredibly infuriating. Since she trusted Kevin, let her rely on him!
When others saw Elaine on the phone, they immediately gathered around, eager to find out if she had managed to engage someone influential to assist them.
With a proud smile, Elaine told the group, “Don’t worry, I’ve asked the eldest son of the White family to help. He’s very capable, and I’m confident it will be easy for him to recover the money!”
Someone gasped, “The eldest son of the White family? Elaine, you’re amazing! How did you get such a powerful person to assist us?”

Soon, a sleek black Porsche rolled up in front of them.
A sharply dressed young man stepped out of the vehicle.
It was Kevin.
The crowd around Elaine sighed in admiration, commenting, “Wow, look at him! This is a true young talent! Who knows which fortunate girl will end up with such a great son-in-law!”
“Absolutely! If my daughter could marry him, I’d die happy!”
“Dream on! Even if you did, he wouldn’t even notice your daughter!”
At that moment, Elaine spotted Kevin and eagerly rushed toward him, exclaiming, “Oh Kevin, you’re finally here! Auntie has been so anxious!”
It was indeed Kevin.
He greeted her with a smile, saying, “Auntie, I’m sorry to have kept you waiting!”
Elaine quickly replied, “Oh, Kevin, you’re too kind! I barely waited ten minutes! You arrived so quickly!”
Kevin returned her smile, “I heard you were in trouble, so I drove over as fast as I could, even running a few red lights along the way.”
Elaine’s pride swelled, but she then expressed concern, “Won’t that be troublesome for running so many red lights?”
“Not at all,” Kevin replied confidently. “The traffic police are all acquaintances. With one call, I can get any violations cleared.”
Then he inquired, “Now, tell me about your situation! How much money have you lost in total?”
Elaine sighed, “I invested over a million dollars, and they promised a $200,000 dividend this month, but now I can’t withdraw my principal.”
Kevin nodded reassuringly, “Don’t worry, leave it to me. I will certainly help you get your money back.”
Just then, he noticed Charlie standing behind Elaine, and his expression shifted slightly.
To his surprise, that frustrating waste was also present.
Since meeting Claire, Kevin had entertained thoughts of getting closer to her. After hearing his brother Gerald White mention that Claire was still single, those thoughts became even stronger.
So, when he spotted Claire’s unambitious husband, he couldn’t help but snicker.
Grinning, he said, “Oh, Charlie is here too. Do you have a plan to help Aunt Elaine recover her investment? Why not give it a shot first? Otherwise, I might steal your thunder later.”
Elaine quickly remarked, “Let him try! What can he do? He just talks a big game and shouts slogans! Kevin, don’t pay any attention to him.”
Kevin nodded, his sarcasm evident, “Since Charlie lacks the ability, I’ll give it a try first!”
Charlie smiled faintly and replied, “Go for it, Mr. White.”
Kevin laughed dismissively. At that moment, the elderly friends surrounding Elaine approached and began to flatter her, saying, “Elaine, we’re all friends here. Please ask this handsome young man to help us! We were robbed of our hard-earned money!”
Elaine replied arrogantly, “Oh, I can’t make that decision; it’s up to Kevin, as he’s doing me a favor and doesn’t know you.”
Others chimed in, pleading, “Oh, Mr. White, please lend us your assistance too!”
Though Kevin looked down upon them, noticing Elaine’s desire to capitalize on small victories, he smiled and said, “Since you’re all Aunt Elaine’s friends, I can help you out.”
With their spirits lifted, Kevin added proudly, “However, since I’m helping you for Aunt Elaine’s sake, you’ll need to give Aunt Elaine 10% of the money I recover for you. Is that acceptable?”
They quickly responded, “No problem! Recovering 90% is far better than getting nothing!”
Upon hearing this, Elaine was absolutely thrilled!
The total amount these friends had lost added up to tens of millions. If Kevin really could help them recover it, wouldn’t that mean millions for her?

Claire nodded politely in response.
Charlie’s expression darkened slightly. He had brought his wife to celebrate their wedding anniversary, but now an unpleasant person had intruded unexpectedly!
Julie continued her bragging, “By the way, my husband is a platinum member here, enjoying many privileges. I bet Charlie can only manage to reserve an ordinary private room, right? How about I see if he can upgrade you to a luxury box later?”
Claire was about to decline the offer, but Charlie intervened with a laugh, saying, “The table I reserved is actually quite nice, let’s skip the upgrade.”
After all, he had booked the sky garden on the top floor for a lavish anniversary celebration for his wife. What’s so special about being a platinum member?

Julie nodded and sighed before turning to Claire, “Honestly, you should think about divorcing him. Living with someone like Charlie for the rest of your life isn’t fair to you!”
Julie spoke bluntly, showing no regard for Claire’s feelings at all.
Claire could no longer tolerate it and replied coldly, “Julie, what’s your problem? It’s not your place to judge my husband.”
Julie covered her mouth with a smirk, “I never liked you in college. How could you be called the school beauty with just a little money from your family? Now that you haven’t married well, you won’t even let me comment?”
Charlie felt a surge of anger upon hearing this.
Julie had been fickle in school, using her average looks to attract wealthy men. Now that she had lucked into marrying into a wealthy family, did she genuinely believe she was a classy lady?
Moreover, she dared to mock his wife? He thought to himself, this was utterly ridiculous!
Fueled by his rising anger, he pulled out his phone and sent a text message to Isaac Cameron, the CEO of Shangri-La.
“In three minutes, I want every bit of information on Julie, daughter-in-law of the Sullivan family in Aurous Hill!”
Julie, noticing Charlie absorbed in his phone, couldn’t help but mock him, “Look at your husband. I’m mocking you and he doesn’t even have the courage to stand up for you. It’s hysterical!”
Just then, Charlie received a text from Isaac Cameron, “Young Master, the details on Julie have been sent to you.”
Charlie glanced at the lengthy message, then turned to Julie and her husband Kyle with a smile. “I’ve come across some interesting information. Interested in hearing it?”
Julie frowned, inquiring, “What information?”
Charlie declared loudly, “Julie, female, 26 years old, graduated from Aurous Hill University. During her freshman year, she had no less than 100 check-in records with eight different men, including Brett Cooley, Jack Pierce and Austin Cannon, among others.”
Julie’s face went pale as she exclaimed, “What nonsense are you spouting! Be careful, or I’ll sue you for defamation!”
Kyle’s expression soured, clearly stunned.
Charlie pressed on, “Oh, this gets even more interesting. You checked into rooms with two men multiple times. Named Ben and Jay Decker brothers, it seems. Were you having a little fun?”
Julie screamed in shock, “You’re lying! This is ridiculous!”
Charlie continued, “Additionally, in your sophomore year, you were supported by the vice president of Herolutions Group at a rate of 30,000 a month. You were with him for three years during which you had four abortions, all done at Aurous Hill Women and Children’s Hospital. The last doctor even reported that you would be infertile for life.”
At this, he curiously asked Kyle, “If I’m not mistaken, you still don’t have any children yet, right?”
Kyle’s face darkened and he glared at Julie, demanding, “What’s the meaning of this?”
Panicking, Julie responded, “Ahao, don’t listen to him! You know I told you it was my first time!”
Charlie grinned, “No need to worry. I can track down her medical records for the membrane repair. You’ll find out for yourself at the hospital.”
Kyle grabbed Julie by the collar and slapped her, shouting, “You still refuse to come clean? If you don’t, I’ll kick you out after I get to the bottom of this and your entire family, including your parents and brother, will be out of my house too! I’ll ensure your whole family ends up on the streets!”
Julie broke down, sobbing on the floor, pleading for mercy, “Husband, please! Don’t be angry. I was young and foolish, I’ve changed and will devote my life to you!”

Charlie felt a wave of happiness as he heard his wife speak. It seemed that the place he had chosen would undoubtedly delight her on their wedding anniversary!
The two settled into their reserved seats in the sky garden and it wasn’t long before Loreen arrived.
“Claire!”
“Loreen!”
The two friends embraced with joy, their happiness overwhelming.
Afterward, they held hands and reminisced about the past for quite a while before gradually settling down.
Loreen remarked, “Claire, you’re too extravagant! You actually chose to dine in the sky garden!”
Claire smiled and replied, “Well, you’re here! I suppose I’ll have to splurge a little!”
Loreen giggled, “Only you could be my best friend!”
Claire continued, “To be honest, I feel a bit unworthy to order food here. I had to ask Doris, the vice chairwoman of Emgrand Group, to help me secure this reservation. I used her membership card!”
Loreen sighed, “The requirements to dine at the Sky Garden must be quite high. Don’t you have to be a diamond member or something?”
“Exactly.” Claire nodded and added, “Honestly, this is my first visit!”
Loreen grinned and said, “Thank you so much, my dear Claire!”
Then she mentioned, “By the way, as soon as I arrived, I saw a notice outside saying the Sky Garden would be reserved for three days.”
“Yes.” Claire acknowledged, “It’s strange. The Sky Garden has never accepted reservations before. I’m not sure what’s going on this time.”
Loreen nodded and explained, “Not long ago, there was this incredibly wealthy individual from Aurous Hill who made headlines on TikTok. He reportedly bought a necklace along with over a dozen Rolls-Royces, surrounded by men in black and more than ten million in cash. Did you see that video?”
Charlie shook his head, while Claire said, “I did see it. It was quite the spectacle.”
Loreen added, “Everyone is curious about who he is.”
Claire responded, “What’s there to speculate about…”
Loreen laughed and said, “It’s gossip! People are eager to know who would be so extravagant. Some say it must be the new chairman of Emgrand Group.”
Charlie’s expression momentarily showed surprise, but it quickly returned to normal.
Loreen continued, “Today, the Sky Garden at Shangri-La is booked again. I have a feeling the person who reserved it is likely the one who purchased the jade in that video.”
Claire sighed, “It’s been so long since we last met, and you’re still as gossipy as ever!”
Loreen chuckled, “Gossip is the lifeblood of women!”
At this, Loreen added, “I’m coming back in three days to see who has enough clout to reserve the Sky Garden!”
Charlie, who was listening quietly, felt overwhelmed at her words.
His intent was simply to surprise his wife and make up for the wedding he never fulfilled that year.
Yet, he hadn’t anticipated that the reservation would draw so much attention.
It seemed he had underestimated the allure of the Sky Garden.
Many people in Aurous Hill were likely thinking the same thing as Loreen – they all wanted to see who booked the Sky Garden.
This posed a bit of a challenge.
He would need to notify Isaac Cameron ahead of time and prepare thoroughly. There was no way he could reveal his identity.
During their meal, Loreen turned to them and said, “While I’m here in Aurous Hill, I’ve also arranged to meet some of our former classmates. They mentioned wanting to hold a reunion. What do you both think?”
Charlie immediately responded, “If there’s a class reunion, I won’t be attending.”
“Why not?” Loreen asked. “Even though we haven’t been classmates for four years, we shared a year of friendship!”
When Charlie was taken in by the elder from the Wilson family, the old man had sent him to Aurous Hill University to be in the same class as Claire for their senior year so they could get to know each other.
After graduating that year, they married right away.
However, Charlie had only been classmates with those people for a year, and most of them had looked down on him, so he wasn’t particularly interested in the reunion.
Claire also had no desire to attend and said, “Charlie and I won’t go. I haven’t kept in touch with most of my classmates since graduation.”
Loreen quickly explained, “The main reason for this reunion is that Douglas Adams from our class is opening a restaurant, and it launches tomorrow. He’s inviting everyone to come support him and enjoy a meal together.”
She added, “It’s a great opportunity for him. It wouldn’t feel right not to attend, right?”
Just then, the three of them received WeChat notifications.
Many messages flooded their phones.
They pulled them out to find that Douglas had created a group for their classmates, which quickly reached over thirty members.
Douglas wrote in the group, “Hey everyone! The small restaurant I’ve invested in opens tomorrow at noon in Aurous Hill. Please come to support it and treat it like a reunion!”
“It just so happens that Loreen, one of the two golden girls from our class, is also in Aurous Hill. She’ll be at the gathering too. I hear she’s still single, so the bachelors better take their chances!”
Immediately, replies poured in.
“Wow! Congrats!”
“Oh, Loreen is coming to Aurous Hill? I hadn’t heard! I’ll definitely be there!”
“What about Claire, the other beauty in our class? Is she coming?”
“I heard Claire is with Charlie, the transfer student who joined our class later. I heard he married into the Wilson family!”
“I heard that too, but I don’t know if it’s true. I haven’t seen them since graduation…”
“I’ve heard they’re just pretending to be a couple, just for appearances. Not sure if that’s true though.”
Seeing those comments, Claire turned to Charlie and said, “Don’t let it bother you.”
Charlie smiled lightly and said, “It’s fine; they’re just stating the facts. I’m used to it.”
Loreen quickly interjected in the group, “Stop gossiping about them! I’m having dinner with the couple right now! They’re so in love!”
“Oh, it’s Loreen!”
A swarm of admirers quickly clustered around her.
At that moment, someone tagged Charlie in the group – it was the group leader, Douglas. “Charlie, even if you were only in our class for a short time, we got along well during our school days. You and your wife have to be there tomorrow!”
Charlie had a good impression of Douglas. He was genuinely friendly and considerate toward everyone, unlike others who might mock others casually; he was one of the few classmates Charlie appreciated.
Seeing Douglas’s message, Charlie promptly replied, “Sure, I’ll definitely go to show my support tomorrow.”
Douglas instantly responded, “That’s great! We’re going to have an amazing gathering tomorrow!”
