The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 94
In less than five minutes, the dishes that had just been freshly prepared on the table had all rotted and spoiled, insects and mosquitoes swarming out in clusters.
In the yard, a rooster raised by the White family was crowing away.
Several mosquitoes darted towards the rooster at incredible speed. Within just over ten seconds, the rooster let out a cry, flapped its wings, fell to the ground, and writhed before dying.
A swarm of black mosquitoes emerged from the feathers of the dead chicken and ascended into the air.
The black mosquitoes filled the sky, swirling towards the crowd like a violent storm.
Chaos erupted in the yard as people scrambled to avoid them.
These black mosquitoes were highly venomous. They not only bit people but could also penetrate the skin through open wounds.
Although the mosquitoes were tiny, no bigger than grains of sand, getting bitten by one would result in excruciating pain.
Those affected would swell visibly and experience intolerable agony.
The skilled individuals present deployed their best methods, casting talismans and chanting spells.
Some even took refuge under tables, while others leapt into the pool, screaming in panic.
“What on earth is happening?” Jasmine exclaimed, terrified.
“This is a corpse magic!” Finn replied, both shocked and furious. “It’s made from the corpse of an infant from Julesburg. I can’t believe Jack Yaleman would summon such a malevolent creature.”
Jack Yaleman laughed maliciously and declared, “This corpse magic is crafted from a fetus it’s the deadliest kind. If you don’t respect me, none of you will escape.”
The swarm of black mosquitoes continued to multiply, and an elderly man was bitten, swelling up and vomiting black blood before collapsing to the ground.
The sight of the black mosquitoes made everyone’s skin crawl, and Jasmine was equally unsettled.
But then she noticed something surprising, there were no mosquitoes near Charlie!
Whenever the mosquitoes approached him, they instantly turned into black ash, as if repelled by something profoundly terrifying!
Charlie, wearing a smug smile, walked purposefully towards Jack Yaleman, holding a white shell talisman in his hand.
This talisman was the Thunder Order he had created! The shell talisman emanated a faint glow, with threads of lightning crackling around it.
Jack Yaleman watched in disbelief and murmured, “What’s happening? How can this be…?”
Charlie appeared to be enveloped in a radiant aura, almost like a divine being, his expression icy.
“Impossible! The corpse magic has already been formed and no one can handle it!” Jack Yaleman shouted hoarsely.
Charlie regarded Jack Yaleman with disdain and scoffed, “You dare call yourself a Master with such pathetic tricks? Today, you will witness true supernatural power!”
Then, Charlie proclaimed, “Thunder is coming!”
The moment he finished speaking, a tremendous sound erupted!
“Boom!”
In an instant, a deafening roar resonated from the skies, rapidly transforming the previously clear sky into a mass of dark clouds!
Before long, the heavens were completely shrouded by ominous clouds!
“This is unbelievable!” Finn exclaimed, staring upward, rendered speechless by the sight.
Everyone, Jasmine included, wore similar expressions of astonishment.
Graham murmured, “It’s a miracle, this has to be a miracle!”
In the next moment, a silver lightning bolt snaked down from the sky!
“Crack!”
The lightning struck the mosquitoes, incinerating a substantial number of them in an instant.
Tables and chairs splintered, trees toppled and the air was saturated with the acrid smell of burning.
Charlie stood calmly with his hands behind his back, looking up with cold determination, with streaks of lightning crackling around him, resembling a deity descending from the heavens!
Strong winds whipped through the courtyard as heavy rain began to fall, washing away the charred remnants scattered on the ground.
A few seconds later, the crowd snapped back to reality, scrambling in fear of being struck by lightning.
“Oh my god, he… he isn’t human! He’s a god!”
“Don’t hit me! I’ll kneel and apologize to Mr. Wade!”
“Please, help me! I was wrong!”
Several individuals dropped to their knees, bowing before Charlie.
Graham, terrified, tucked himself under the table, overwhelmed by reverence.
Yet, the thunder seemed to have a mind of its own, targeting only the mosquitoes and leaving the people unharmed.
Jack Yaleman’s expression was one of utter shock and terror! He never imagined Charlie possessed such formidable power!
In comparison, he felt like a mere insect! If the raging thunder struck him, he doubted he’d even remain intact!
In a panic, he scrambled to his feet and rolled out of the courtyard, desperate to escape and vowing never to return to Aurous Hill. He couldn’t think about being a respected figure here anymore!
“Trying to run away?”
Charlie smirked coldly and pointed, “More thunder!”
“Boom!”
A bolt of lightning struck Jack Yaleman on the head, sending him crashing to the ground and smashing the pottery jar he held.
His hands throbbed with pain and fear gripped him as he trembled and screamed.
“Master Wade! Please, Master Wade… spare my life…”
Charlie’s expression remained frosty as he advanced toward him step by step.
“Using a fetus to refine Magic is utterly against the laws of nature and morality!”
“You are wicked and the heavens are right to punish you! I will bring you that punishment today with thunder! Do you accept your fate?”
Jack Yaleman’s mouth opened wide in horror, but words escaped him. He could only watch as lightning crackled ominously above him, wailing in despair, as if today marked his end…
Why! Why did such a terrifying force exist in Aurous Hill? Why had he been so foolish to provoke it…?
“Boom!”
Just as Jack Yaleman pondered the unfolding events, several bolts of lightning struck simultaneously, one of which struck him directly!
Mr. Jack Yaleman, who had been so aggressively arrogant moments ago, didn’t even have time to scream before he was left scorched and lifeless on the ground.
What remained of him was no longer human, reduced to a charred, lifeless husk. The scent of burning flesh filled the yard, nauseating those present.
“The rain has ceased and the winds pick up!”
With a wave of his hand, Charlie miraculously brought the torrential rain to an abrupt stop. A gust of wind rose from the ground, stirring sand and debris and sweeping away the stench of charred remains.
In the midst of the swirling winds, Charlie’s demeanor remained unflappable, as if nothing out of the ordinary had occurred.
But the people in the courtyard were already in shock, their mouths agape.
Adam trembled in fear, too afraid to say a word. Had Charlie unleashed that lightning upon him then, he would have been dead. He now understood that Charlie had spared him all along, which was why he was still standing.
“Master Wade, you… you truly are a god!”
Graham’s voice quivered as he dropped to his knees, clasping his hands in front of Charlie.
Zeke White was equally terrified he also fell to his knees, crawling several steps closer to Charlie while repeatedly bowing in supplication.
“Master Wade, please let me live! I was misled and colluded with Mr. Yaleman… no, with Your the God! Please spare me… I swear I will serve you faithfully and do anything you ask!”
Charlie cast a cool glance at him while walking past Zeke White.
Finn spoke with reverence, “From this day forth, Master Wade shall be recognized as the venerable leader of Newton! From now on, the metaphysical community of Newton will heed your commands.”
Commanding the entire metaphysical community of Newton! Moments ago, they had been in a battle for their lives, yet now there were no objections. Everyone was convinced and in unison, they shouted their agreement.
“Master Wade, please give us your orders for Aurous Hill!”

The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 63
Seeing Mr. Quinton being obstinate, Charlie shook his head and sneered in contempt. “You can’t even distinguish between a gourd and a jade plug? Have you never heard the old saying, ‘Gold and jade in the nine orifices, the dead are immortal’?”
“What gold and jade? Dead people?” Mr. Quinton looked confused.
Charlie shook his head as if dealing with a “hopeless case.” “You don’t know this? Surely you’ve heard of nine-aperture jade?”
“What nine-aperture jade?” Mr. Quinton stared at Charlie, baffled.
Although Mr. Quinton had an interest in antiques, he lacked the dedication to truly understand them. He simply bought whatever others deemed valuable to show off.
“Foolish!”
Charlie scoffed, “Nine-orifice jade is the jade plug used by the deceased to seal their nine orifices. There are seven in the ears, nose, mouth and eyes, with the reproductive and excretion orifices adding up to a total of nine.”
“Dead people!!” Mr. Quinton’s mouth dropped open, his eyes wide with disbelief. He looked at the jade hanging around his neck, his skin prickling with sudden dread. This came from a dead person?
Charlie said mockingly, “It appears you really don’t understand. This piece in your hand was used by the deceased to block the excretion hole, essentially the jar door. You actually wear it around your neck. Don’t you think it’s disgusting?”
Mr. Quinton could no longer respond. He stared at the jade gourd in his hand, overwhelmed by a wave of nausea.
This jade gourd was actually used in such a way!
And he had mistaken it for a good luck charm, wearing it around his neck for three years…
What was particularly infuriating was that because he liked it so much, he often picked it up with his mouth to play with it…
Wasn’t that like indirectly consuming the filth of the ancients?
“Ugh!”
Mr. Quinton couldn’t hold it in any longer and doubled over, retching.
The crowd, which had been eagerly watching moments ago, now looked at him with scorn.
Some even took pleasure in his misfortune, mocking Mr. Quinton for being oblivious and wasting a lot of money on such an ill-fated trinket.
Charlie coldly added, “Additionally, this jade piece has soaked up corpse chi for a long time and absorbed enough malevolent energy. It is no longer a good luck charm, but rather a very ominous object! If you continue to wear it, you’ll undoubtedly face dire consequences within a year.”
As soon as he finished speaking, the people surrounding Mr. Quinton hurriedly stepped back, afraid of being tainted by the evil energy clinging to him.
Zachary, who stood near Mr. Quinton, also scrambled to the edge.
Although he typically made a living by petty scams, he had dealt with local crooks and realized that Charlie’s words weren’t baseless!
Mr. Quinton, also shaken, looked up at Charlie in a dazed manner.
Charlie’s expression was cold and he scoffed, “Have you had a streak of bad luck this year? Maybe a car accident or something?”
Mr. Quinton stared at Charlie, completely stunned. He had, in fact, been unlucky this year. He’d experienced a car accident at the beginning of the year. If he hadn’t been in a crash-resistant Hummer that day, he might have been killed.
The driver had died on the spot and he had broken two ribs, spending half a month in the hospital before he could return home.
Mr. Quinton was sweating profusely now. He quickly ripped the jade piece from his neck and threw it away.
The crowd retreated rapidly, not wanting to be associated with his predicament.
Seeing Mr. Quinton’s guilty expression, Charlie felt a twinge of satisfaction. If he hadn’t intervened today, Mr. Quinton would have likely met his end before the year’s end.
“Who are you?” Mr. Quinton gritted his teeth and glared at Charlie.
This person knew far too much. Could he be sent by his enemies?
“I’m someone you can’t afford to provoke.” Charlie replied coldly before turning to leave.
Mr. Quinton saw Charlie attempting to escape and bellowed, “Catch him! If he dares to come at me, that kid must have someone backing him! Can’t afford to provoke? Ha! In all of Aurous Hill City, there’s no one I cannot handle! Capture him, break his legs and find out who dares to cause trouble for my Quinton family.”
He convinced himself that Charlie was sent by a business rival, or else how could he know all the details of his car accident?
Several bodyguards swiftly moved in, rushing to block Charlie’s way.
The other two bodyguards approached Jacob, reaching out to seize him forcefully.
Jacob was terrified. He never imagined he would get into such trouble simply by going out to buy antiques.
Just as one bodyguard was about to grab Jacob, Charlie’s expression hardened. He kicked aside a strongman standing in his way and raced toward Jacob, punching the bodyguard squarely in the face.
“Bang!”
The bodyguard was about to take hold of Jacob when Charlie’s punch connected, causing him to bleed from his nose and stagger backward, covering his face.
When another bodyguard witnessed Charlie springing into action, he swiftly pulled out an electric baton and swung it violently at Charlie.
“Ah!” Jacob screamed in fear, “Charlie, move!”
Before he could finish, Charlie effortlessly dodged the incoming strike and seized the bodyguard’s left wrist, applying just enough force.
“Bang!”
The bodyguard with the electric baton was slammed to the ground before he could react, grimacing in pain and unable to rise.
Jacob was speechless, nearly failing to recognize the young man standing in front of him as his son-in-law.
How could he be so skilled?
Charlie bent down, retrieved the electric baton from the ground, weighed it in his hand, and declared, “Who’s next? Let’s take them all on at once.”
The crowd fell silent, their eyes locked onto Charlie.
Zachary was equally astonished, staring wide-eyed at Charlie and muttering, “Brother, you’re incredible!”
He was grateful he hadn’t angered Charlie earlier otherwise, he might have been felled by that overhand blow.
Jacob snapped back to reality and exclaimed in amazement, “Charlie, where did you learn that martial arts?”
“This…” Charlie smiled and replied, “Dad, when Claire was at work, I often stayed home out of boredom to watch TV. There’s a fighting show that airs every morning I picked it up from there.”
In reality, Charlie had been practicing Wing Chun, boxing, and wrestleing since he was a child, mastering its most authentic forms. After all, the famous Wen was a descendant of the Wade family and the greatest of these arts!
However, to conceal his identity, he naturally couldn’t divulge this to his father-in-law.
Moreover, what surprised Charlie even more was that he felt his strength had significantly increased!
His combat prowess had multiplied compared to his usual self.
It seemed this was the effect of the “Apocalyptic Book.”
The pebbles filled with reiki he had just handled had entered his body, instantly enhancing his overall physical condition!
The crowd gasped.
Such formidable skills surpassed even the martial arts masters at the Aurous Hill City martial arts hall, and he had learned them just by watching TV!
This self-taught talent was astonishing!
“I learned it from TV!” Zachary’s eyes widened in disbelief. A skill so incredible, obtained from watching television? He quickly beamed at Charlie in admiration, “Brother, which channel did you watch? I want to learn, too.”
Charlie glanced at Zachary and replied casually, “CCTV Sports Channel, quack!”

The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 32
Loreen Thomas and Doris Young of Emgrand Group have confirmed their intention to join the company tomorrow.
After leaving Heaven Springs, Charlie dropped her off at her hotel and said goodbye before departing.
Loreen remained in shock from the dinner, lost in thought about her future prospects.
On the surface, her trip to Aurous Hill was for work at Emgrand Group, but beneath that lay a family obligation.
Her father had told her about a closely guarded secret: the Wade family, the foremost clan in Eastcliff, had located their missing Young Master from many years ago and purchased Emgrand Group for him to manage.
This meant that the Young Master of the Wade family was in Aurous Hill and he held the position of chairman at Emgrand Group.
While the Thomas family was also a prestigious family in Eastcliff, they were overshadowed by many formidable competitors and ranked as a second-tier family, far below the Wade family.
Consequently, the Thomas family hoped Loreen could find a way to connect with the Young Master of the Wade family before his identity was revealed. If she could form a relationship with him and facilitate a union between their families, it would be a tremendous advantage.
Although Loreen felt some aversion to this arrangement, the weight of revitalizing her family was a responsibility she could not ignore.
Her journey to Aurous Hill had been primarily to work at Emgrand Group, yet her unspoken goal was to find a way to reach out to the elusive chairman and capture his attention.
Loreen certainly possessed the beauty and elegance that defined the upper class in Eastcliff.
She believed that with her looks, intelligence, capabilities, and virtuous character, she would be able to catch the eye of the Wade family’s son.
If she successfully married him, it would mean a remarkable revival for the Thomas family, elevating them to the ranks of first-class families in Eastcliff!
With these thoughts racing through her mind, she felt a surge of excitement about her joining the company tomorrow.
Simultaneously, she was curious about the mysterious Young Master of the Wade family.
She found herself wondering how old he might be and what he looked like. Was he refined, tall, and handsome?
Unable to contain her curiosity, she took out her phone and opened a video app.
She selected a video that had garnered tens of millions of views, one that featured the moment Charlie slapped the sales director in the face with cash at Emerald Court.
Having analyzed this video previously, she recognized that it took place in Aurous Hill, coinciding perfectly with the recent news about the Wade family’s eldest son being found.
Thus, she speculated that the wealthy figure in the video was likely the eldest son of the Wade family, meaning he was the chairman of Emgrand Group.
She scrutinized the outline of the seemingly godlike rich man in the video, deep in thought.
From this grainy footage, it appeared the internet sensation was probably in his twenties, tall and lean, though his face remained obscured.
However, his physique seemed to be quite impressive, comparable to those tall male idols in Korea.
With such a figure, she reasoned, his face couldn’t possibly be unattractive!
Yet, a peculiar feeling washed over Loreen, why did this man remind her a bit of Charlie?
However, upon reflection, that seemed far-fetched.
Charlie was the son-in-law of the Wilson family, and how strong could the Wilson family truly be? They were nowhere near the level of the Wade family. If Charlie were genuinely the first son of the Wade family, how could he be confined to the modest means of the Wilson family? It appeared she was just overthinking!
……
The following day, Loreen arrived at Emgrand Group bright and early.
Vice Chairman Doris Young personally facilitated her onboarding.
Doris took her to the administrative department, explained her job responsibilities, and said, “Loreen, if you have any questions in the future, feel free to approach me directly or stop by my office.”
Loreen nodded appreciatively and cautiously inquired, “Vice Chairman Young, do you happen to know if I might have a chance to meet the chairman? Since I’ll be managing the company’s administrative affairs, it’s important I’m acquainted with him to avoid any unintentional oversights.”
Doris Young suddenly felt a twinge of caution.
Charlie had instructed her just the day before to keep a closer eye on Loreen, and given her immediate pursuit of the chairman’s presence, she seemed rather intriguing.
What could this beautiful woman’s intentions be in coming to Emgrand Group?
She replied to Loreen, “Our chairman seldom visits the office, but if he does come in, I’ll be sure to inform him and I will let you know if he wishes to see you.”
Loreen felt a flicker of disappointment but still managed a smile, saying, “Thank you, Vice Chairman Young!”
Doris Young returned to her office and reported the occurrence to Charlie.
Upon hearing that Loreen was eager to meet him right after starting at the company, Charlie grew even more cautious.
This woman was clearly here for him.
What could she want?
Was she trying to get close to him for some ulterior motive or perhaps to entice him?
Regardless of her intentions, Charlie felt a surge of discomfort.
So, he resolved to minimize any contact with Loreen and ensure she remained oblivious to his true identity!
……
That evening, after Loreen’s first day at the company, Charlie’s wife Claire made special arrangements at a high-end hotel to treat her to dinner.
As Claire’s husband, Charlie felt obliged to join her.
This left him feeling somewhat despondent.
Just as he was planning to maintain his distance from Loreen, he found himself again obliged to dine with her that evening.
However, despite his mood, he prepared himself as they headed to the restaurant together.
As they arrived, Charlie discovered that Claire had booked a table at the Sky Garden of the Shangri-La Hotel!
The Sky Garden banquet hall is typically reserved for high-profile guests and does not offer private service. However, it appeared Charlie had managed to make this unprecedented reservation for their anniversary.
Today marked just three days until their wedding anniversary.
An enormous and attention-grabbing notice was placed at the Shangri-La Hotel’s entrance that read, “The Sky Garden is reserved for a distinguished guest in three days. No guests will be permitted at that time. We appreciate your understanding!”
Everyone who laid eyes on this announcement was taken aback!
Someone had reserved the Shangri-La Sky Garden?
This was never typically an available service!
Rumor had it that several influential leaders children had attempted to book wedding receptions there but were turned away without exception.
Who on earth had the clout to reserve the entire Sky Garden at Shangri-La?
Claire also noticed the striking notice and exclaimed, “Oh my, the Sky Garden is really booked? That’s simply unbelievable!”
Charlie chuckled and said, “What’s so unbelievable about it? It’s a banquet hall, after all. Isn’t booking it part of its purpose?”
“You don’t get it,” Claire replied earnestly. “This Shangri-La is not just a local business; it’s a world-renowned top-tier hotel chain. Their Sky Garden is a unique feature. It caters exclusively to high-end guests. If it were open to the public, one big shot could book it today, another tomorrow, and the other high-end guests would be unable to use it, so they simply reserve it for VIPs.”
Pausing, Claire sighed, “I wonder what sort of person managed to secure this venue, it’s quite impressive!”
Charlie playfully smiled and said, “Perhaps he’s a devoted husband planning a wedding for his wife!”
Claire responded with delight, “A wedding for his wife here? He must truly cherish her and I can only imagine how happy she must be!”

The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 72
Harold felt a buzzing sensation in his head and a wave of jealousy washed over him. He hadn’t even touched Loreen, yet here she was, undressed by a strange man, with him touching and pressing against her thighs.
How could he tolerate this!
In that moment, Harold was oblivious to the fact that Loreen was deeply disappointed in him. Gritting his teeth, he said with jealousy, “I think that man doesn’t want to save you at all, he just wants to take advantage of the situation and take liberties with you!”
As soon as Harold finished speaking, every member of the Wilson family turned their attention to Loreen.
They all shared the same thought.
A beautiful woman lying in front of a stranger in disheveled clothing while he rubbed and touched her was a story that sparked the imagination.
Loreen was so enraged that she staggered, feeling immense disappointment with Harold!
Not only had he fled first, but now he was making malicious assumptions about her, and doing it in front of so many people. This was not just unkind or unjust; it was downright shameless!
Coldly, Loreen replied, “Harold, the man who saved me didn’t do anything inappropriate. I took off my pants myself! This has nothing to do with you!”
With her teeth clenched in anger, she accused, “It’s you, Harold. Everything that happened tonight was your doing. When the other party came for revenge, you ran away, leaving me behind and causing me to get hurt. And now you’re saying this? Do you have any shame?”
Harold was silenced, his face flushed with embarrassment, unable to respond.
Loreen didn’t even spare him a glance as she got up and left the ward, hailing a cab back to her hotel.
The Wilson family stood in shock. No one had expected the truth to be like this!
It turned out Harold had created trouble and abandoned Loreen, which ultimately led to her being harmed…
As soon as Loreen left, Lady Wilson, infuriated, slapped Harold across the face.
Harold was stunned by the sudden blow. The Lady scolded him, “What did I teach you? I told you to win Loreen over, but instead you abandoned her and ran away. How could she possibly like you after such cowardice?”
“Grandma, I was wrong.” Harold covered his burning cheek, suddenly realizing his mistake and feeling overwhelmed with regret.
At that moment, it dawned on him that there was no chance left for him and Loreen.
……
Charlie returned home, careful not to mention the events of the night to his wife.
His wife was completely unaware of Loreen’s ordeal.
After all, Claire’s family had always been sidelined by the Lady, which meant they were never in a position to live in the Wilson family villa, leaving them out of the loop regarding such happenings.
The next morning, Claire received a call from the Lady as soon as she woke up.
The Lady instructed her, “Claire, I need you to visit Elite Vault Enterprise today and speak with their boss. See if you can secure a credit line of 10 million dollars for building materials until we receive payment from the Emgrand Group.”
Claire quickly responded, “Grandma, Elite Vault Enterprise is a major player and they rarely extend credit.”
The Lady replied, “There’s no other option. The Wilson family is facing issues with our capital chain. We can’t cover these expenses or secure a loan, so we must find a way through Elite Vault Enterprise.”
Then the Lady added, “Claire, our family is currently struggling in multiple areas, and your cousin isn’t helping matters. We’re relying on you now. You need to have a good conversation with Daniel, the boss of Elite Vault Enterprise. If he agrees, we have a chance!”
Claire hesitated briefly before reluctantly agreeing, saying, “Grandma, I’ll try my best.”
“Good!” the Lady said with relief. “I believe in you!”
After hanging up the phone, Claire felt a wave of melancholy.
Unable to contain himself, Charlie asked, “What happened?”
Claire described the situation to Charlie.
He nodded and suggested, “Why don’t we ask the Emgrand Group to prepay the 20 million dollars for the project?”
Claire quickly disagreed, “That’s not possible. We’re already in a prestigious position by collaborating with the Emgrand Group. If we ask them to prepay the project, we’ll lose face.”
Charlie wanted to point out that the Emgrand Group was owned by her husband and that 20 million shouldn’t be a burden, but Claire was unaware of this. She said, “Fine, I’ll go speak with Mr. Koch.”
Charlie offered, “Then I’ll come with you.”
“That’s not appropriate.” Claire responded. “How can I bring my husband to a business meeting? It would come off as unprofessional.”
With that, Claire insisted, “Just stay at home. If you’re bored, go out for a walk. There’s nothing for you to do here.”
Seeing her firm stance, Charlie decided not to press further. He understood that his wife had always valued her independence and wanted to tackle challenges herself. So he thought, why not let her have this opportunity? If things went awry, he could always step in discreetly.
……
After breakfast, Claire set an appointment with Daniel Knoch, the boss of Elite Vault Enterprise and drove to the company on her own.
Elite Vault Enterprise is one of the largest suppliers in Aurous Hill and Salford Province, dealing primarily in aluminum alloy construction materials and serving as a key supplier for major real estate projects.
Daniel Knoch had humble beginnings but benefited from marrying a woman with a strong family background, allowing him to rise through the ranks with her family’s support.
However, he was known as a henpecked husband, despite his wife’s lack of beauty, he never strayed, earning a reputation as a devoted man who never forgets his wife.
Elite Vault Enterprise was located in the city’s outskirts, occupying thousands of acres for its expansive factory.
After Claire arrived at the office building of Elite Vault Enterprise, she made her way inside.
Upon her arrival, she found Daniel waiting in the lobby, eager to greet her.
As soon as he saw her, a warm smile spread across his face, and he hurried over, extending his hand. “Oh, Ms. Wilson, I apologize for not welcoming you properly today!”
Claire shook his hand politely and smiled, “Mr. Koch, you’re too kind.”
As Claire tried to withdraw her hand, she noticed that Daniel held on a bit too tightly.
Claire pulled her hand away with effort, saying with a hint of concern, “Mr. Koch, what’s going on…?”
Daniel quickly scratched his head and smiled nervously, “I’m so sorry! I’ve heard that Ms. Wilson is exceptionally beautiful and meeting you in person left me a bit dazed. Please forgive my rudeness!”
Seeing that he was apologetic and straightforward eased Claire’s discomfort slightly.
At that moment, Daniel kindly gestured for her to follow him, saying with a smile, “Ms. Wilson, come to my office so we can have a proper chat!”

The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 61
Hearing the voice, Charlie frowned and looked up. He saw a young man dressed in a white linen black suit, with black cloth shoes and an array of bracelets adorning his arms, striding confidently towards him.
Even though it was broad daylight, the young man wore a pair of antique gold-rimmed glasses featuring two round black lenses, the kind favored by the trendsetters at the late Warriors.
Trailing behind him were four or five bodyguards and compared to the young man’s showy demeanor, the bodyguards appeared menacing, causing those around to quickly step aside to avoid any trouble.
“Oh, it’s Young Mr. Quinton!”
The boss’s face instantly brightened at the sight of the young man and flattering words poured from his mouth like water. “Young Mr. Quinton, why didn’t you let me know in advance that you were coming today? I could have met you at the street corner…”
“Enough with the nonsense, I’m just here to take a look today.” The young man waved his hand impatiently.
He strode forward, glanced at the stone in Charlie’s hand and then looked up at the boss. “Zachary, wrap this stone up for me! My father’s desk needs a paperweight and this would be perfect!”
“This…” The green-eyed boss let out a dry laugh, glancing at Charlie hesitantly. “Graham, that’s unfortunate! This brother has already bought the stone! Honestly, it’s quite ordinary has no real value aside from being a paperweight. I have much better items set aside for you; why settle for something so trivial when I have exquisite pieces worthy of your status?”
Charlie then realized that the boss’s name was Zachary and that he seemed to know the young man quite well.
However, Charlie was genuinely amazed at Zachary’s way with words.
He had an uncanny ability to say what he wanted to say to people and equally what he wanted to say to spirits.
Zachary quickly fished out a hardened plastic jade horse, eagerly exclaiming, “Graham, this is favored by the former imperial concubine! Look, this jade is crystal clear. Good jade belongs with a deserving owner. Let’s not overstate it, just for your generous heart, I’ll offer it to you for the same price you purchased the chicken cup yesterday nine thousand dollars!”
Charlie was taken aback. The same fake chicken cup? He had bought it for three hundred dollars and snagged a bargain, but little did he know that Graham would spend nine thousand for it.
“Stop blabbering and just get out of here!” Young Mr. Quinton snapped impatiently, kicking Zachary aside with arrogance. “I want this stone. If you give it to me, I’ll pay you twenty thousand!”
At the sound of twenty thousand, Zachary’s eyes lit up. He turned to Charlie and said, “Brother, how about letting Mr. Quinton take it?”
Charlie frowned and replied coldly, “I bought this. I’m not interested in handing it over to anyone else.”
“Who asked you for your approval? You haven’t even paid for it yet! Whoever pays the money gets to buy it!” Mr. Quinton shot back impatiently, pulling out a wallet and tossing a thick stack of red bills at Zachary’s face.
“No need to change; I’ll take the twenty thousand.”
Zachary’s eyes sparkled, quickly gathering the banknotes and turning to Charlie with a smile. “Brother, I have an inkstone paperweight from Emperor Kangxi at home—it’s a better option!”
Charlie smiled back and said, “Zachary, I don’t need a rundown of your items, right? I purchased this paperweight first, and I’m not interested in selling it to anyone else.”
Seeing Charlie’s refusal, Zachary was at a loss.
After all, in the world of antiques, the rule is first come, first served. If Zachary neglected this rule, his reputation in this antique street would be ruined once the word got out.
With no other alternative, Zachary turned back to Mr. Quinton and pleaded, “Mr. Quinton, this paperweight really isn’t remarkable. I have a much better one at my place…”
Before he could finish, Mr. Quinton kicked him hard at the waist, scolding him, “Are you feeling brave? I’ve purchased several things from you, and now you’re being stubborn, siding with this nobody?”
Zachary fell to the ground, clutching his waist and groaning, complaining, “Mr. Quinton, he won’t part with it; I can’t do anything about it.”
As he spoke, he attempted to signal Charlie, hoping he would relent.
Looking at Charlie’s attire and demeanor, it was clear that he came from a humble background, lacking wealth or influence.
In contrast, Mr. Quinton was a well-known figure in the cultural and artistic circles, one who had never known financial hardship.
Zachary, wanting to avoid offending Graham or breaching etiquette, could only urge Charlie with his eyes.
Charlie caught on to Zachary’s hint but chose to ignore it, responding calmly, “No.”
Zachary was truly helpless, so he merely sat back and groaned, trying to avoid further ire from Mr. Quinton.
“Look at how useless you are!”
Graham scolded him, raising his voice. He glanced at Charlie with a condescending expression and said, “You bought it for three hundred dollars. I’ll give you thirty thousand for it; hand it over!”
The crowd gasped, their eyes filled with envy as they looked at Charlie.
The price of an item bought for three hundred dollars had surged a hundred times over before it even warmed up. Clearly, this was a lucrative deal!
As for that piece of stone, anyone with knowledge could tell it was merely a common rock found on the riverbank. There were countless stones like it; it hardly warranted calling it a paperweight from an important dynasty!
Jacob felt excitement bubble within him. After all, he would make more than two thousand dollars from this deal. Not only would he recover from yesterday’s loss, but he could also pocket a little profit.
Charlie looked up, smiled at Mr. Quinton, and stated, “I’ve already said I won’t sell it. Even if you offer me three hundred thousand dollars, my answer remains unchanged.”
“You!”
Mr. Quinton’s expression darkened in an instant, and a fierce glare flashed in his eyes.
The crowd surrounding them fell silent, caught off guard by Charlie’s outright refusal. Wasn’t this humiliating for him?
“You country bumpkin! You think you can challenge me?” Mr. Quinton sneered maliciously. “Why not ask around? Is there anything in this antique street that I can’t acquire?”
“You will hand it over today, whether you want to or not!”
After finishing his statement, Mr. Quinton waved his hand, and his bodyguards quickly surrounded Charlie.
The onlookers gasped in shock.
Even Jacob found himself stunned.
The Quinton family in Aurous Hill City?
They were a wealthy and formidable family, far surpassing even Gerald White’s family!
No wonder Young Mr. Quinton casually spent nine thousand on a fake celadon cup; he didn’t care about the money. It was all just for kicks!
As several bodyguards circled Charlie, their intimidating presence loomed large.
Jacob, wary of the escalating situation, quickly signaled Charlie to surrender the stone to Young Mr. Quinton.
Charlie showed no signs of concern, glancing at the bodyguards around him, and firmly declared, “I’ll say it again: I won’t sell! If you think you can use your influence to take what’s mine, just know that nobody can take my belongings— not even the king of heaven!”
“What’s wrong with me taking it by force?” Mr. Quinton retorted arrogantly, lifting his chin defiantly. “Let me make it clear: I am the king of heaven! You, a country bumpkin, want to challenge me? You’re simply asking for trouble!”

The Amazing Son In Law Chapter 85
In recent days, Adam couldn’t shake the feeling that his second uncle had been deceived by the boy. However, he hesitated to provoke Charlie directly. As Charlie prepared to place a bid, Adam called out, even though he knew it was pointless—Charlie regarded him as he raised his hand. “Eight million!”
Jacob could no longer remain silent; he quickly exclaimed, “Charlie, let’s stop bidding. It’s not worth it. Just let it go.”
Charlie replied with a light smile, “Just watch how I handle this.”
With that, he raised his hand without hesitation. “Eight million!”
Everyone was left speechless.
While others were bidding 800,000, he just jumped to 8 million? Was he out of his mind?
Adam was equally taken aback, thinking to himself that this was not how auctions worked. He had just bid 800,000! The logical next bid should have been 900,000 or, at most, 1 million. What was with this 8 million offer?
Did he have cash to burn, or had he lost his senses?
Charlie raised an eyebrow at Adam and grinned, “Graham, please continue!”
Adam scoffed, “Am I crazy? Eight million for this worthless thing? Forget it, it’s all yours!”
Though Adam felt a bit embarrassed, he truly couldn’t justify bidding at that amount.
That bead was worth, at most, 700,000. Spending over 8 million on it would surely leave him regretting it later.
This was no way to spend money!
At that moment, Charlie looked directly at Adam with disdain. “Mr. Quinton, giving up so easily? You really aren’t up for this, are you?”
Laughter filled the room.
Adam’s face flushed. “Don’t provoke me. I’m just saying you can’t afford this! You’re pulling numbers from thin air. Do you think you can fool me? I’m waiting to see how you come up with this 8 million!”
Charlie shrugged, “If you can’t afford it, just admit it. There’s no need for all this explanation.”
At this point, the auctioneer banged the gavel.
“Eight million! Sold! Congratulations, Mr. Wade!”
An attendant approached Charlie with a wireless card reader and said, “Mr. Wade, please swipe your card to complete the payment.”
All eyes were on Charlie. Adam sneered, “Charlie, let’s see you swipe that card! Can you even pull together 8 million?”
Others shared his curiosity. Could he really back up his bold bid?
With a calm smile, Charlie pulled out Graham’s black card and swiped it confidently.
The black card didn’t require a password.
Transaction successful!
The attendant handed a receipt to Charlie, saying respectfully, “Mr. Wade, the item you bid on will be delivered to you shortly!”
“Great!” Charlie nodded affirmatively.
Everyone was taken aback!
It seemed he truly was wealthy!
He really had the audacity to purchase a necklace valued at 700,000 dollars for 8 million!
Turning to Adam, Charlie asked with a smile, “Graham, do you concede now?”
Laughter erupted around them as someone joked, “Graham, is your family struggling financially?”
“Haha, it looks like Graham has lost his edge!”
“Hahaha!”
Adam felt flush with embarrassment.
What the heck? This guy actually came up with that kind of money!
Now, he truly felt humiliated!
Grinding his teeth, he declared, “Charlie, I won’t back down in the next round!”
Charlie nodded and replied nonchalantly, “Sure, let’s see what happens in the next round!”
Adam couldn’t understand where Charlie’s confidence was coming from, unaware that Charlie was relying on a card given to him by the Quinton family…
Soon, several more items were auctioned off, the next being a semi-finished Tianhuang jade embryo.
Part of the jade embryo was encased in rock, making it clear that it was completely natural, starting at a price of 800,000.
Charlie thought it would be perfect for Graham to refine into a magical tool for protection, so he immediately raised his paddle.
“900,000!”
However, as soon as he spoke, a familiar voice chimed in.
“1 million!”
Charlie turned to see Adam’s challenging gaze.
Remaining calm, he continued to bid.
“1.1 million!”
“1.2 million!”
As the bids went back and forth, the price for the Tianhuang jade rose dramatically, with Adam deliberately pushing the final amount to 2 million!
Many attendees realized Adam was targeting Charlie again.
Everyone’s attention was riveted on Charlie’s next move.
He slowly raised his paddle and called out, “Twenty million!”
The crowd erupted in chaos!
Two million jumped straight to twenty million? Just like before, it was a tenfold increase!
Adam’s expression darkened.
Was Charlie out of his mind? Even if he had money, wasn’t there a limit? Such extravagance was ridiculous!
Although he had a reputation as a big spender in Aurous Hill, even he wouldn’t waste ten times the value on something…
Suddenly, he hesitated. Should he follow through? If he did, he’d be throwing away more than 18 million for no reason.
But if he didn’t, Charlie could very well harm his pride and the crowd might just eat him alive with their laughter.
Having already faced humiliation once, if Charlie bested him again, he’d never live it down!
Thinking this over, Adam gritted his teeth and shouted, “I’ll bid 20.1 million!”
Gasps filled the room!
Adam was upping his bid by a mere 100,000!
This was a direct challenge!
Charlie smiled slightly, raising his hand once more, “I’ll make it 30 million!”
“Oh my god!!!”
“This is getting insane!!!”
“This guy is too relentless!!!”
From 2 million to 20 million and then 20.1 million to 30 million, Charlie’s audacious bids left everyone speechless.
Adam was at his wit’s end!
What was Charlie’s deal? Was he really that wealthy? 30 million? He could buy 15 pieces of jade at that price! Anyone offering such amounts was a fool!
Charlie turned to Adam again, “Graham, let’s keep it going!”
Adam panicked.
Spending 30 million on a piece of jade would be disastrous if his family found out! His sister Aurora might even take him down for it. But with everyone watching…
What to do?
Adam’s face shifted between red and pale.
The auctioneer called out, “30 million once!”
“30 million twice!”
The lively crowd began to chant,
“Mr. Quinton, place a bid!”
“Mr. Quinton, you gotta be tough!”
“Mr. Quinton, don’t let us down!”
“Mr. Quinton, are you really scared? You were so bold just moments ago!”
Charlie added with a grin, “Mr. Quinton, if you don’t bid, you’re going to have to accept defeat!”
